No Ads! No Hackers! Perfect for Writers! AMAZING device you've never heard of!
I bought mine from LarryliBooks. In perfect shape! I need to know if it saves the docs after I load them into my Mac, but what i DO know, is no more Hackers screwing up my novels, letters, emails, poems. No more Ads, streaming across, below and side to side on my Mac screen! This little device is lightweight, give you enough screen to follow what you're doing, fits my lap holder (normally for laptop), and when the file is completed, I can SEND the entire text to my iMac. Plug it into the back of the Mac with enclosed USB and sit back and watch your words load into Pages (or whatever you've got on your computer). This even auto corrects! It is a miracle. There is a way to connect to your printer from the Neo2 but I don't know how to do that. I just print out my word from the Mac, then erase my Mac doc after storing it on my Flash drive. No more Hackers, , cause Neo2 needs NO electricity, NO WiFi, and they can't do squat. I even load my files from Neo to the Mac when the WiFi is turned OFF. A gift from Heaven, this little device! All sorts of stuff you expect on a keyboard, QWERTY, 8 Files, you must use the direction keys to move the cursor around. Make sure you get the cord with the Neo2 Alphasmart Word Processor so you can upload your work to your computer. It's a cable which fits into the back of the Neo2 and connect to the back of your Mac. I'm a Senior Lady with bad vision and no computer smarts and this device is marvelous. You have to push those keys harder than a Mac keyboard but it's no big deal. Easier than a typewriter! I LOVE IT, LaryLiBooks! A+++++

Great Distraction-Free Device for Writers
I've been searching for a good distraction-free writing device for a while, something that's built around just crafting a first draft and maximizing word count, and I feel like I've finally found it with this retro little device! One of the big reasons it's so good is because of all the things it can't do. It can't go on the internet, can't play any games, and editing on it is cumbersome. In other words, it's the perfect thing for cranking out that first draft. The keyboard was made back when the focus was on feel and use instead of slim form factor, so it's a joy to type on. Once you press the on button, you can basically start writing instantly. There's no boot-up or shut-down, and every keystroke is saved automatically. This device can save about 80,000 words spread across 8 separate files, and once you're ready to put your work on your main computer to edit, you just plug this into your computer's USB port, open up your document, and press send. That's it. It's so old school that it runs on three AA batteries, and I've heard of writers getting heavy use out of this thing for an entire year before having to switch the batteries out. Also, the thing is built like an old Nokia phone, so you can just drop it in your backpack and go. I could honestly go on and on about how great this thing is for drafting. My word count has shot up dramatically thanks to this. If you're a writer, definitely consider getting one of these. It was worth every penny.

The best fifty dollar I ever spent.
I love this word processor. I've used it a little bit and have uploaded my writing to my computer. Easy as pie and it works great. Mine came with a rechargeable battery and if I don't use it for awhile, the battery depletes but it's easy to charge.I like to use it when I don't feel like getting on the internet. I also love the keyboard. The keys are full size but I'm still getting used to it because I use my computer so much. It's used but looks brand new and came with an adapter, and a usb cable.I'd recommend this to anyone who needs a portable WP. It's easy to carry and sits more comfortably on your lap than a laptopRight now I have it in our spare bedroom on a desk beside my Win 10 HP laptop and have it covered up with a cloth case my netbook came in to keep the dust off and preserve its condition.

Dangerous Battery Leakage
This product arrived inoperable, and without the USB cable needed to interface with a computer, where it was advertized that cord is included. That's a secondary complaint, however. This unit was not checked before shipping, and when I opened the battery compartment I found that all three alkaline batteries had exploded, filling the casing and circuitboard with dangerous potassium hydroxide. Do NOT gift this product to a child before thoroughly checking for this as it will cause terrible chemical burns. If you are interested in buying this product from this seller, be sure you have copious amounts of vinegar on hand to neutralize the leaked batteries, distilled water to remove the vinegar after the reaction completes, replacement lithium AA batteries, a replacement internal coin battery, and a soldering kit to repair the internal wires that had been rusted completely to dust. Take account of the potential extra charges for materials and labor - five hours of careful cleaning and soldering, and I was able to get this unit operational; but other customers may not want to take the time and potential risk of working with caustic chemicals. The seller offered me a refund of $10 when I asked to be reimbursed for labor and materials for repairing their product of a broken biohazard, in polite terms. (Which I chose not to accept.) The Alphasmart is a fantastic device for drafts and essays, but because they are no longer being manufactured customers need to be aware of problems like this. The seller did offer to replace the defective unit, but for a price tag of over $100 I feel that a simple quality control check is certainly feasible before shipping their product. I'm happy with my DIY repaired Neo2, but because of the damage the integrity of its components is unreliable.
