Use the Vinara wine aerator and watch the aeration as your glass fills. No decanting. Vinara brings out your wine’s true essence and bouquet. No waiting. Vinara aerates wine perfectly in seconds, glass after glass. People who enjoy wine know it needs time to “breathe” to maximize the bouquet, flavor, and finish. Some open the bottle 15 minutes or so before drinking the wine, some swirl the wine in the glass, others use a decanter and funnel to pour the wine slowly. These methods do not achieve the best results. Vinara aerates the wine gently and instantly mixing in just the right amount of air in the right amount of time as you fill your glass. Vinara 360° aeration adds “micro-bubbles” of air to the wine. Oxygen in the air reacts with the organic compounds in the wine to release its aromas and flavors to enhance your taste experience.

Perfectly aerated red wine...
I love this gadget. I have always loved red wine but had lost interest in it. I got this and tried it on a $10 bottle of Rex Goliath pinot noir. I swear it made my cheap wine taste expensive. The wine was perfectly aerated and the flavors really opened up. I had a friend try it and she was amazed to and she wasn't even a red wine drinker. I took it to my family's Thanksgiving dinner and showed it off. It is very neat looking and a real conversation starter. I would recommend this to any red wine drinker. It's super easy to use and to clean. It comes with a handy stand and carrying bag.

Second purchase
Such a great wine aerator, my neighbor who drinks a bottle of wine for herself every night stole it. It's been a couple years now and she's probably put 1000 bottle through it and it's still going strong. I'm ordering another one for myself again who drinks less wine (maybe a bottle or two a month). My favorite part over other wine aerators is the sediment catch. Also all the rubber grommets which keep things safe just in case you drop it. Very sturdy construction and great conversation starter. A must have as well as a glass horn decanter.

Do you need it?
I bought the Vinara Wine Aerator. I tried it with an OK Merlot and didn't notice much of a difference. So, I wondered, do I need an aerator?- Bon Appetite did a review of the Vinturi Wine Aerator and concluded that with 3 out of 4 wines, the Vinturi did not help (and sometimes even hurt a wine's flavor).- Also a Wine Consultant (Lauriann G.) brought up an alternative to using a wine aerator;"if you don't have time or don't have a carafe, just serve the wine into the glass and then swirl the wine in the glass."- Since I can easily swirl wine in a glass, I don't see the need to use the Vinara for myself.- Possibly if I had a young red wine, like a Cabernet, and I had guests who wanted it, and there wasn't time to air out the wine naturally (opening the bottle early or pouring the wine early), then maybe the Vinara would be handy. But that situation almost never happens at my house.- Still the Vinara looks pretty in my kitchen and will be a nice conversation piece. So, I gave it 2 stars.

Really Improves the Flavor of Wine
A friend suggested I purchase an aerator to improve the taste of wine. I had wine at her house and had noticed how it really did improve our wine drinking experience, and it wasn't just the wine talking! :) It was much lighter and really brought out the flavor when poured through the aerator first.I've been using it for a while now and would highly recommend this one. It works as it promises and appears to be of good quality. I like that it comes with a base that you can set the aerator inside of to avoid it from tipping over or possibly breaking. It also comes with the strainer - I suppose in case you've gone crazy with the opener and left some cork remnants behind in the bottle. Or maybe for some reason I'm totally unaware of it. Price is reasonable for what it is. I'd highly recommend it!

Great for more than just wine.
I bought this for my girlfriend for valentines day as she is becoming more and more into wine, and honestly needed to know about the benefits of aerating wine before using. However, I have also used it for some of my high end tequilas and bourbons and it works amazingly for them as well. The only con, which isn't really a deal breaker, is that it is a bit larger than some other aerators on the market. This is due to it being able to be broken down and cleaned thoroughly however, which I take advantage of quite often as it is used for different beverages in my household.

Outstanding
This is an excellent wine aerator at a very reasonable price. It arrived well packaged and includes a base and carry bag (would make a nice gift too). Construction is solid and it's very comfortable to hold in one hand while pouring the wine through it with the other. It is very easy to clean (just rinse with a little water) and sits solidly in it's hard rubber base on the kitchen counter. Best of all this glass aerator will noticeably enhance the taste of your wine. My Wife prefers sweeter fruity wine but I put a bottle of pinot noir (a pretty dry red) through the aerator and she said she enjoyed it! We're excited to try various red wines with this product.

Worked great ... While it lasted!
when I first received this, I was thrilled with how well it worked. A bit of a pain to hold and pour and then deal with drips, but really does what it's supposed to and you can taste the difference. Unfortunately, after only a month or so of use, the whole thing has just kind of fallen apart! The plastic has separated where the 2 principal pieces are supposed to twist together so now there's really no way to put it together :-(. I have to hold the pieces together and kind of balance to try to use. Heading to the trash!
