Effective salt gun for killing bugs
The BUG-A-SALT Realtree Camo 3.0 has proven to be a unique and effective solution to pest control, all while sporting a stylish camo design. This salt-powered bug zapper has become a must-have tool in my household, offering both fun and functionality. Pros: Innovative pest control: The BUG-A-SALT 3.0 provides an ingenious and chemical-free way to eliminate pests, particularly flies and other insects. It's a safer alternative to traditional bug sprays and zappers. Fun and engaging: Using this bug gun is surprisingly entertaining. The satisfaction of hitting a target and watching pests disappear adds an element of enjoyment to pest control tasks. Effective range: The 3.0 version of BUG-A-SALT offers an improved shooting accuracy and an extended effective range, making it easier to hit insects from a distance. RealTree camo design: The Realtree camo pattern adds a unique touch to this version of the BUG-A-SALT, making it a conversation starter and even a collector's item for hunting and camo enthusiasts. No mess or cleanup: The device uses regular table salt as ammunition, eliminating the need for potentially harmful chemicals. Plus, there's minimal mess to clean up after use. Cons: Limited for smaller insects: While the BUG-A-SALT is highly effective for flies and larger insects, it may not be as efficient for very small pests like gnats, and it also may require multiple attempts at shooting the bug/insect, especially if the bug is tiny or too big. Requires manual reloading: The device requires manual reloading of salt after each shot, which can be a bit cumbersome when dealing with a larger number of bugs or a larger bug that is pretty resilient and hardy. Overall, the BUG-A-SALT Realtree Camo 3.0 has surpassed my expectations as an entertaining and effective pest control tool. Its innovative approach, engaging experience, improved range, camo design, and environmentally friendly operation make it a standout choice for anyone looking to keep pests at bay. While there are limitations for smaller insects and a need for manual reloading, I find the benefits of this bug gun far outweigh its minor drawbacks. I highly recommend the BUG-A-SALT 3.0 for households seeking a fun and efficient way to tackle pest issues while adding a touch of style to the process

Fly hunting dog with a fly hunting gun
I recently purchased the BUG-A-SALT gun and I must say, it's a total game-changer when it comes to pest control! This innovative device combines fun with functionality, making the task of getting rid of those pesky flies and bugs not just effective, but oddly satisfying as well. The concept is simple yet brilliant – load the gun with regular table salt, pump it, and shoot a burst of salt at those annoying insects. The accuracy and power of the gun surprised me, as it consistently hits its target with a satisfying "pop." I've found it to be incredibly effective, even for small flying insects that are usually tough to swat. What I love most is that the BUG-A-SALT gun doesn't involve harmful chemicals or sprays, making it safe to use around kids and pets. It's a much cleaner and environmentally friendly option compared to traditional bug sprays. Plus, the gun's design is ergonomic and easy to handle, making it a breeze to use for both young and old. While the BUG-A-SALT gun may seem like a novelty item, it truly works wonders in controlling pest populations around the house. It's become a go-to tool whenever I spot a fly or mosquito indoors. Not only does it eliminate the need for messy swatting, but it also offers a sense of satisfaction with each successful shot. In conclusion, if you're tired of dealing with pests using ineffective methods, I highly recommend giving the BUG-A-SALT gun a try. It's a fun, effective, and safe way to keep your living space bug-free. Say goodbye to annoying insects and hello to a more enjoyable and pest-free environment!

Oh my goodness, give a man a Bug-a-salt and watch him regress.
This is a pretty fun and hygienic way of ridding your house or deck of flying bugs It uses plain table salt, you just have to be careful not to get it in your plants that don't like salt. This is cleaner than a bug zapper, which totally disassembles the poor bug and then you have to clean up the mess. This seems to be a quick and humane way of killing the pest. It does work on carpenter bees but you have to shoot them several times and it basically tortures the poor creature. A bug zapper works better on the bigger bugs. I use this more for the kitchen fruit flies in the early summer when they seem to come out of nowhere.

Inside top 10 of my all time purchases!
I must say: inside the top 10 of my all time purchases! It will kill flies, carpenter bees at about 3 feet. No damage to most objects. Don't shoot at eyes, painted metal, glass or electronic screens. I shot myself in the palm at 2 inches to test. It stings like blowing sand on the beach but no injury. Most other items are relatively safe. Much better and more fun than the traditional swatter. I use this at my barn where I have animals and the flies are horrendous. Also can run off the barn swallows without hurting them. Carpenter bees are notorious for eating barns and hard to control. This makes it fun for me and my 4 children. I would even be interested in one with 3x power. It's a novelty for most but very useful for those in rural areas. I am planning to by 5 more for my family crew. Not yet sure how long it will hold to wear but that doesn't matter to me. It has already worked wonders for my situation. I hope the inventor is planning a next level build. I would be very interested!

It’s amazing.fun
I was a little skeptical at first but thought I’d give it a try. It is so much fun for killing pests. It appears to shoot salt sort of like Buck shot. Our house is pretty clean so i thought the salt might cause a mess but the amount per shot is so little and tiny that gets used you don’t notice it. I had a small fruit flu problem and i was able to eliminate all of them after hunting them all down one night (like 10 minutes of shooting). It also works on larger insects but may need a few shots. I have shot flies. I think it can knock them out if the air but I wait for them to land somewhere then shoot. One larger moth i shot out of the air but had to finish it with a few more shots on the ground. Definitely recommend.

Better than a fly swatter
First the cons. I feel like this is expensive for what you get. It is well made but overall I think the price is $10-20 too expensive. The second con I have is that you have to actually use the sights. Not sure I would call this a complete con but I think some people just like to point and click. Now that you know that you actually have to use the sights let’s go over the pros. The first is when you do use the sight it’s almost a guaranteed toll hit. I say almost because you have to factor in if you got enough salt loaded and your own skills/learning curve to aim this thing. Second pro is that its soooooooo much fun and satisfying to blast flies with this thing that you could be outside for hours doing it. Overall I would recommend and I don’t think I’m going back to a flyswatter. Also the salt doesn’t really bother me and vacuums up easily.

Much more fun than a fly swatter.
This is so much more fun than chasing flies with a fly swatter. I live a quarter mile from a dairy farm so you can imagine how many flies make it to my house. If I don’t kill 20 a night it’s a slow night or it’s below 30°. I had the first gun for five years before I broke the lid off the salt reservoir. It is very well-made. Can’t count how many times I dropped it on the ground. I will always have a bug-a-salt on the back porch.
