PLATPORTS Playground Slide - Big Backyard Freestanding Plastic Slide - 10 ft Outdoor Swing Set Slide for Kids Ages 4-8

This slide is awesome! I've had it for a couple weeks now and its held up great. Its sturdy enough for bigger kids and not so big that smaller kids aren't intimated by it. It took some time to build but was do-able with the manual that it came with.

As you can see my grandchildren love the slide. For me I love how sturdy it is. The bright colors are fun and pulls the kids to play on it. Our almost 6 year old granddaughter, is very tall for her age and the length of the slide still work for her.

The media could not be loaded. This slide is perfect for my 6 year-old. The height (not counting the handles at top) and width of the slide are about 60 inches. The slide base is 124 inches. Adding 50 lbs to each side gave me peace of mind. Supports person max of 110 lbs. Ability to attach garden hose to make it a water slide (accessories not included). Putting it together was not easy, as others have said. Some parts required a bit of force to line up. Tools I recommend are a small adjustable wrench to hold the nuts, powered drill/driver, and VERY IMPORTANT: needle nose pliers to hold the bolts and washer in those tight spaces. With 2 adults, it took 90 minutes. Kid loves it, worth the trouble. I highly recommend (with patience)! Best bang for the buck. I looked at the Intex inflatable slides but they looked only good for several uses at best.***After a handful of days, I decided to remove the weights at the base. The slide is stable enough (on flat ground) if the kids are not rocking on or running up the ladder.

Overall - a great product. Seems sturdy, and the kids love it. Even my 11 year-old loved it and went down it over and over. :)Positives : There’s handholds/railings going up the stairs and at the top where they sit before coming down, so I feel okay about letting toddlers use it by themselves with just supervision. It’s bright and colorful - which is always a plus with kids, and it’s a great height and length to be a step-up from the normal red and blue plastic one I’ve always gotten as my kids’ first slide.Negatives : the hardware (screws, washers, dome nuts, etc) come loose and mixed up in bags. They aren’t separated and labeled against cardboard like some places do with products. They also come divided into 2 different bags for no apparent rhyme or reason, which I think is unnecessarily confusing and not the most “builder-friendly.”Some of the screws are pretty similar in size, so I went through and divided them into little paper bowls, dividing them up based on how many of each there were. 19 of a kind means it’s A, 4 of a kind means it must be B, etc. It’s not the easiest thing to put together... Some of the pieces need a bit of muscling to fit together enough to line up the holes.But overall not bad at all. Happy with my purchase, and I recommend it!

After 4 years of use, our grandkids wore out the steps on this great slide We attach hose and use it as a water slide during the summer months with a 25' slip n slide at the end, everyone is entertained as we "score" the grands on their slides from 1 to 10... I contacted Platports customer service about my problem and after answering a few questions , my brand new steps are on the way to me with free shipping ! Wow- Great customer service is rare in this day and as well as companies who stand behind their quality product. We own other Platports products and couldn't be more pleased. Product is as promised we purchased the 10ft so grandkids could have a little more fun, slide does come with hose attachment capability located under top seat of slide have not hooked hose up yet suggest use very short section of old hose and use hose clamp this would allow for easy hook-up of full length garden hose the instructions leaves a lot to be desired as it should have taken 2 hours to assemble went in to 4 hour time. True weight limit is as specified on box this will not hold a full-size adult strongly recommend stay within 110 lb weight limit. I feel this is a truly a good value for the purchase price we will use it in our pool and then rotate it when kids just want to slideinto playground.

This slide was a great addition to the grandkids' side of the garden. It wasn't too bad to assemble with a little help. This product seems to be a sturdy and tough. The grand and neighborhood kids love it. I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment with this slide. Next year it's going to be a pool slide 🙂

I was looking to put in a permanent pool slide for my grandchildren. Then I saw this and it has been a big hit. I really like this as the kids will outgrow a pool slide and I don't see me using it :) Took a bit longer to assemble, but well worth it. I recommend this highly to anyone wanting a slide, but not wanting a permanent one to maintain. Happy sliding!
