The Samsung Tablet is well made and will take punishment. It is a little older and not very fast but it can get wet, dropped and still work just fine. The battery life is good. If you want a basic android tablet that you don't have to worry about, this is your tablet. It has limited memory but you can add a micro SD card if you like. The price was great and the condition of the tablet was like new. No issues with the product thus far. Would recommend if you know what you are getting ahead of time.

Im the IT Manager for a Gardening/Nursery and we provide all of our garden specialists with Android tablets for easy added access to horticulture expertise. We recently transitioned our tablet standard to this new TabActive2. One of our newer garden specialist misplaced her TabActive2 only to find it 3 days later submerged in one of our stainless steel water canteens. After simply airing out the charging port for a couple hours, the tablet surprisingly started right up. All in all ...great tablet...great value for a ruggedized tablet.

I researched this purchase a bit heavily before pulling the trigger but was pleasantly surprised by the quality, features, and software available for this tablet. It performs well, has a rugged feel to it and lots of software applications available. Battery use for me is about 3 to 4 days using it sporadically throughout the day. The user interface seems solid with no surprises. The pen takes a little getting used to but works well. I am well pleased with using it on the go.

Buyer beware: this tablet is not water resistant to the extent claimed by Samsung, and should it fail, you will be on the hook to cover repair costs. One of the tablets of this make and model owned by our research group was submerged in approximately 0.5m of fresh water for a few seconds, and it failed to power on the following day. We are now 3 weeks into the repair process which has required multiple lengthy conversations with customer service. To date, Samsung has neither explained nor taken responsibility for the failure of the tablet. We are still in negotiations with them regarding whether they will cover repair costs. Samsung's current position (this is directly from the highest level of customer service) is that a product labeled "water resistant" does not guarantee any level whatsoever of water protection, and any water damage voids the warranty. In short, if water resistance fails, that is the fault of the customer, not the device. This is in direct contradiction with their own product description page that describes the unit this way: "It can even survive for a half-hour in five-foot-deep water, and keep right on working." Perhaps more importantly, our experience with Samsung's customer service has exacerbated the challenges with multiple tablets of this make and model that have required repair. These challenges include: temporarily losing devices in the repair facilities; sending items back without repairs; assigning multiple ticket numbers to the same device; and providing contradictory information on repair costs, repair dates, and expectations. Unfortunately, Samsung continues to refuse to take responsibility for their devices or their customer service mishaps. I cannot recommend against purchasing this tablet strongly enough. Update: After talking with a representative from the office of Samsung's CEO, I was granted a "one time, free of charge repair." However, the device has now been sent back to me - twice - unrepaired, due to poor communication within the company. Essentially, the repairs department has twice failed to review the entire file for the device and has overlooked the repair waiver. I'm now getting ready to send it back for a 3rd time. We are 6 weeks into the repair process at this point.

I bought mine in June of 2021. It's now November 2022 and theres barely a scratch on it. And I'm rough on devices. So for me this is unheard of. This was no exception either. I ran it over in the parking lot of my apartment, blacktop parking lot, with a Chevy equinox and not a scratch. The tire track ran top to bottom and covered the entire width so it didnt just get nicked. The worst thing that's happened is I lost the pen that comes with it and I just noticed they're 25 freakin dollars. Which I feel is a little excessive but I mean just saying. 12$ seems more appropriate... wink wink nudge nudge
