Excellent Shelly Product Integrates Well With Openhab
Another great product from Shelly. This works great with the Shelly Plus Addon! I have used this with the DS18B20 sensors and the DHT11 sensors. Both have worked very well! The Shelly app works wonders as well. I have used this to make a smart thermostat running a 220V heater. I am currently using a Shelly 1 Plus to power a relay and measure sensors for a drain back solar hot water heater using logic from Openhab. Integration with Openhab is seamless as well.

Works well, very flexible
This works exactly as expected. I configured it with 120V AC, but I'm using it with 12V DC to control a gas fireplace via Amazon Alexa. This relay is suitable because it has dry contacts (no extra voltage is introduced into the switched contacts for the load). The 12VDC operation is one of the main reasons I got this model so that it would work safely with the low voltage wire from the fireplace to the wall switch. The original Shelly 1 can also operate on 12VDC power, but you have to open the case and physically change a bridge clip. I got a momentary switch (a button that looks like a regular Decora paddle switch) to replace the wall switch, then configured the Shelly relay in button mode. It can be turned on/off by pushing the wall switch, from the mobile app, from the web site, or by voice via Alexa. I can turn the fireplace on with the app, and turn it off with the wall switch, and vice-versa. I also wired in a regular single pole switch under the fireplace to bypass the Shelly so that I can still use the D-cell battery pack to start the fireplace if the power is out.Make sure you add the Shelly to a "room" if you want to integrate it with Alexa. Otherwise, it will be in the default "hidden devices" group and Alexa won't be able to find it.

Awesome.
These smart relays are reliable and easy to use. I have several and will be adding more to my Hubitat home automation system.

Flexible and useful wifi relay that doesn't require a cloud account
Love how this has a built-in web server that allows for local integrations.

Using it to turn on/off my fireplace!
I'm using this to turn on my fireplace using the dry contacts! It works great! I can now say, "Alexa, turn on the fireplace" and whoosh...it's on! I like all the settings in the app as well. I have it set to run the fireplace for 2 hours and then it automatically shuts it off. What a neat little smart relay!

Works great for an old garage door opener
I have older garage door openers that have the dipswitch style codes. One of the clickers crapped out and none of the replacements I bought worked from more than a foot away from the garage door (certainly not when driving up the driveway), which is useless.I wired one of these little gems inline with the door button and set it up in the app. It works like a charm from anywhere! The app is kind of clunky but once you get the unit set up, it works really well. I just put a velcro spot on the unit and back of the garage door opener & stuck it on like thatSo, in short, 5 stars for the unit, maybe 3 stars for the app.

Small and Work perfectly as described.
These are small, I mean small but they work perfectly. Wish the instruction was a little better but a quick search certainly helped with wiring them.

Keeps resetting itself
I bought a bunch of these devices a few months ago. My house is filled with then now, but one of them which controls our patio light keeps resetting itself back to factory setting and I have to configure everything all over again. This has happened at least 4 times in the past month and even happens with latest firmware. Last time I even disabled resetting through the physical switch, so I know that is not accidentally the cause. I wish there was a link to get support, but not able to find it so I’m doing this review instead. Why is this switch constantly resetting, Shelly? It seems defective.
