Metra 95-7801 Double-DIN Stereo Installation Dash Kit Fits Select 1988-2006 Acura/Honda/Isuzu Vehicles

Super easy to install. For my car I just needed the trim plate (the instructions call it the "radio housing"). I didn't need anything else that was included in the sack. You have to Dremel or cut off a bunch of the clips from the trim plate "housing" and leave only the B and H clips for my car. The metra instructions are cool because they have instructions for many different vehicles for which this kit is compatible. If you don't have a Dremel maybe a razor blade will work to remove the clips, but it's pretty hard ABS plastic. Then all you do is remove the OEM dash kit, snap the trim into place in the OEM kit then install your double din. Peep the finished product. If you already know how to remove the factory dash kit then it's super easy. If you don't then find a video on YouTube. Kinda irritating that I basically had to spend $13 for a trim plate. One came with my double din (Dual) but it was too thick to fit this car so I had to pony up the $13 so there wasn't a gap between the stereo and dash kit. Now it looks correct.

I purchased this trim kit for my 2004 Honda CR-V and the new Joyspring double din stereo I purchased on Amazon. It fits perfectly, but takes a while to put together. Two important assembly tips for you. 1. If you don't have a Dremel tool or the like, this will be a challenge to install. There are LOTS of tabs that have to be cut off to make it fit, and without a electric tool to cut them off, it would be VERY challegning. So, if you don't have a Dremel, beware. 2. Assemble the entire kit and then screw the radio in. The not-super-clear instructions make it seem like you should install the side pieces first, but when I did this, it kept falling apart, the radio didn't line up properly, etc. So, I put the entire thing together and then screwed the radio in. Works perfectly and saves tons of time. Hope these tips help. The trim kit looks professional and makes the radio look original in the car. Recommend if you are handy!

Perfect for the 2000 Civic EX.

1994-2001 Acura Integra Application: 2001 ITR USDM - see picture illustration Instructions say to not use the rear/bottom support tray. It also says to cut the bottom pieces off the ISO side brackets, WRONG! WRONG WRONG!!!! I returned the kit the first time because it is useless if you follow those instructions, your double din (radio) will be sitting loose in your dash. I tried again with a second one and it is now just about perfect! -Assemble and attach all pieces of the kit to your unit BEFORE going into your car. Use the 6 short included screws to secure the front trim to the ISO side brackets and the bottom support bracket tray. -You can cut everything on the side ISO brackets, but NOT the bottom notches that attach to the back support tray. Most likely you will have to file down a notch on the bottom corners on each side of your dash radio opening to allow these bracket notches to clear and slide in. It won’t be noticeable if you use a Dremel or like tool. -You can cut what it says regarding the front face trim. -I did not cut anything from the bottom rear support tray. Which makes it more difficult to get it in place but you will have a better fit where the unit does not move and will be supported better by the internal dash frame. When you’re done assembling the kit on your unit and ready to push it in place, connect your wiring and connections, then you will have to reach into the dash from underneath where the ashtray goes and push up on the hanging tail of the support tray to make it clear and go over the horizontal metal frame in the dash as you push the unit in. But once you clear it the unit will go in and be supported perfectly. You can possibly trim this hanging tail off the support bracket if you choose and still have good enough support as it sits in the horizontal frame inside. But I recommend not to if you can find the patience to make it work with it so it gives better support and will secure your unit so it doesn’t slide out with ease.

I've got a 1993 Accord LX, I followed the instructions to a T and cross-referenced with the pictures, for what little instructions there were and assuming the pictures showed the correct tabs, because half the tabs aren't even labeled. The little silver screws dug into the sides and bottom of my radio, leaving scratches and divots. They're also silver on black, so they stick out like a sore thumb. It wouldn't push in far enough for all the clips to click into place, and when I tried to pull it back out, it got stuck on the screws holding the ISO plate on. long story short, this does not fit a 93 accord, and good luck trying to pull it back out, I had to use some pliers, elbow grease, and still snapped the whole kit apart trying to get it out. If you have a 93 accord STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!

Installed on 2005 CRV. The product is a bit of a pain to install, it does not fit perfect but its better than having no bezel at all; but there is not much of another choice. It does not look bad. I'm always wondering when its gonna pop off the head unit, sorta bothers me to be honest; had to remove extra tabs than the instructions said to make it fit. I also sliced open my finger while installing it, so be careful while installing it and take your time.

Exactly what I was looking for. I have a pioneer double din radio in my dc4 integra that has been driving me crazy, the whole unit would rattle and slide out after taking off in first and second gear, all because I was too lazy to purchase this product. The instructions were pretty clear and straight to the point. I’m not sure why some people had bad experience with this one but it legit took me 5 minutes to prep and the install was 30 seconds lol, I used some dykes to cut the plastic and it wasn’t perfect by any means necessary but just enough for the tabs not to be in the way. Highly suggest this product. If you have a 94-01 integra, SP Tuning on YouTube does a really great step by step (video I used) and everything worked as it should.

Worked well with my integra

I bought this bracket because it said it would work for my 03 Honda CR-V. The fitnent checked out and everything was supposed to be good. The holes did not line up with the pioneer deck, I had to sort of put it in holes that were available and tighten it down, Then I had to modify the bracket in order to slide it into the dash. It had a bunch of extra plastic tabs on the sides that made no sense. So I cut them off to get it in, when it was finally installed it sat crooked and looked terrible. I ended up buying the scosche kit locally and installed that one instead, it fit better, but still not perfect. Pretty frustrating situation for something that’s supposed to be a plug and play item.

Needs to be better fitment in a civic. Installed following all instructions, rationing all lettered clips etc, and front bezel/bracket bends in the middle. Needs to be a better fitment.
