Q: What is the cfm range this can handle?

Don’t know the exact cfm number but I have it attached to the biggest vac Rigid makes and it works great.

Q: Will any trash bag fit in this?

They will fit, but considering this attaches to a vacuum it will just try to suck that bag out. So DO NOT put a trash bag in it. Just use as directed and then dump out the contents into a trash bag.

Q: Any reason this cannot/should not be used with a household vacuum (Miele, with 1 1/2" hose) in light-duty woodshop? Have no Shop Vac, but extra Miele!

I can’t see any reason it would not work with a home vacuum as I’m pretty sure it won’t know it’s not a shop vac providing the suction. :) In all seriousness I am using mine with a 1 1/2” hose and it works great however you may need to buy//make hose adapters depending on the hose.
