Does the job and looks good
Aerogarden lets me have a few most important fresh herbs all year, and it's invaluable. Its limitation is that if you forget to water it, after a few days it runs dry, your plants wither, and you have to start from seed all over again. Bummer! And what if you want to go on vacation for a week? Will you be cooking with fresh herbs after you return? Better not count on it!So, to the rescue, comes this good-sized reservoir. It's easy to install, and then it just works. Now you keep an eye on it, and when the water gets down to about an inch you refill it. And when you're away for a while, fill it up and don't worry about your little herb friends, they'll be waiting happily for you when they return, grateful that you provided water.

The most useful accessory for the AeroGarden.
I was a bit apprehensive when buying this initially, I read some reviews saying the bulb leaked, or that it had to be pumped manually every time, etc. but I have to say I would not want to go without this product ever. The bulb in my unit does not leak, but I put a little tray under it anyways just in case, and while I do occasionally have to pump the primer a few times to get it working again, that is absolutely worth it.I am lazy. If there’s an easy way to do something just as effectively, I will do it. Yes I could just walk to the sink once daily, fill up a pail, and then awkwardly pour it into the AeroGarden while spilling some on the floor because it’s awkward to access the port with bushy plants, and yes that would have saved me $70. But $70 was absolutely worth it to me for this unit.I have to refill it every 3 days or so with 9 hot pepper plants (whoops), about 4 months old and fruiting (huge water draw), and I check it once daily to make sure it’s working. If the AeroGarden says medium water level, I give the bulb 5-8 pumps, and then leave it, and it does it’s job, glugging away every couple minutes until the water level is back to where it should be. Usually I don’t even have to do that, because after refilling the jug, I Prime it again to make sure there’s no air in the line, and that typically keeps it working well til the next fill. I check on my plants daily anyways, and it’s so much less of a pain than pouring water into the AeroGarden manually, especially since that means I would need to take two trips to the sink because I have another plant that I water manually.Bottom line, the Aerovoir makes my life so much easier, and I would highly recommend it for anyone with an AeroGarden. If I had more than one AeroGarden, I would buy one for each of them.

Works great, no leaks, small footprint
I was nervous to buy this with the reviews with leaking, but I need to be able to go out of town and not worry about my plants running out of water so I decided to give it a try. I have no problems with these!I have a classic aerovoir but the jug cracked after a number of years (I blame it on my kids :) I couldn’t get a replacement, although I think the no spill watering jug works, but it was out of stock. I got a different jug here on Amazon, 3 gal, with a 48 mm cap, but the neck is longer so it didn’t work. I cut a hole in a bowl to prop it up and now it works great with my harvest model. My extra and ultra models are hooked up to the new 2020 aerovoirs with the extra height base extension that comes with it and they are working great, no leaks. When I had the old model hooked up to my extra and ultra, I needed the aerovoirs to be a little higher, so I used black legos to prop up the base and they worked perfectly, and looked like part of the stand. Customer service might suggest it be propped up with a book but I think that is a lame idea- books and water don’t mix and it doesn’t look great. I put the edge of the stand between the circles of the legos and it held them in place pretty good. I used 4, like 4 legs on the stand. If it over fills, your aerovoir is too high, if it underfills, it is too low. I recommend being around for the day when you set it up so you can keep an eye on things, check water level, and watch for leaks and make sure it’s working right. I removed some water from my AeroGarden so I could see if the aerovoir refilled it to the right level.I have also used a y connector from the aquarium store to connect one aerovoir to two AeroGardens, and that worked great too, but I am not currently doing that. This new model has a very small footprint for a little more water than the previous model, so I think it was a good improvement. They are kind of expensive, you don’t really save money, but it is a fun hobby for me, so it is worth it to me.

Works great!
Product works well, but please pay attention when you need the extra stand that comes with it. Only thing I’m unhappy with is that after a month algae is growing in the reservoir and tubing since they are clear. I have ordered a mixer cover for the stand and will probably need something for the tubing to prevent algae growth.
