About what you'd expect for the price/too big for average woman's head
Mine had a large flaw in the fabric that ran all along one side (see pic). The stitching was messy and this is definitely not "one size fits all". They say the circumference of the hat is 23 1/2 inches. My head is 21 3/4 inches, but since I couldn't find a plain cap like this in my size (don't want it emblazoned with a brand name) I decided to give this a try since it had the velcro closure. If I snug up the velcro to make it fit my head, it balloons out and gaps and just looks bad. Having said that, it's not worth sending back, but I wouldn't recommend it.

It is cotton, so it shrinks a bit in the wash
I gave the product 4 stars, not because it shrank in the wash--it was a bit large when it arrived, so the shrinkage wasn't an issue. I gave it 4 stars because I was hoping for a cadet cap with a slightly less deep visor area. Other than that, I like that the cap is more squared off than a baseball cap. I wear it gardening and cadet style seems to stay on my head better when I'm crawling under branches and bushes.

After an adjustment it's my favorite hat.
My favorite hat with a caveat. When viewed from straight on, the top was slightly wider than the band above the ears. I prefer a slight angling inward. So I pinched a bit inside the middle of the top and put a safety pin through that, which helps the top be less wide. Now it's perfect and doesn't look bad with the top gathered in like that. Getting a second hat to keep in my motorcycle bag for when the helmet comes off.

velcro and curly hair don't mix. Love the hat tho!

The colour is beautiful. The hat was a bit too big for me so I threw it in the wash & dryer. Shrunk just enough & the colour didn't fade. The shape held up too.

Looks sharp
I now have three of these cadet caps in different colours (purple, navy blue and olive). The caps fit perfectly and the style looks good on me. I have a medium to large-sized head and an oval-shaped face.

Hat is great
Love this hat - has velcro strap to adjust to fit your head, and no extra band hanging out the back like a buckle adjustment band would have.
