The knife set is very high quality, they look great and are always a surprise to people how good they feel in the hand. they are on the heavy side which is why I purchased them and they balance your moves great, they help cut even the toughest steaks that you didn't cook correctly. great value for your money in this high quality set. Work just as intended. The steel is very solid and feels very sharp to the touch. Best Knifes I've used to this day, very satisfied with my purchase.

Amazon Prime Day purchase. LOVE these knives. I already had a Viking knife set with a knife block that included a chef knife, tomato knife, etc. and 6 steak knives. Thought I'd buy these to match that set... but to my surprise these are even nicer than those Viking steak knives. Handles are thicker and easier to hold and the partially serrated knife is sharp and substantial. These are a little bit bigger and definitely higher quality than the Viking set I already had. The wooden box provided for storage is ok - a little rustic inside that I wish was sanded a bit more - but serves the purpose for storage. I'm now thinking of getting another set of these so I have a full set of 12 knives (and can pass my older set to my young adult children). Now I wish I had bought 2 sets of these on Prime Day for the savings.

Finally, a set of steak knives with handles long enough for all 4 of my fingers. What'll they think of next?

You could spend more for a good steak knife but it is unnecessary. These knives are very sharp and have a good balance in the hand. They do require a bit more TLC than regular cutlery. They are to be hand washed and dried after each use. Some reviews complain that the wood becomes gray and the knife does not hold its sharpness. I suspect that they are placing them in the dishwasher and not hand cleaning. The box they come in is quite nice and great for storing.

Gave this as a Xmas gift and received excellent feedback on the knives. I thought it was a really good buy, nice looking steak knives - truly a classic look. Certainly not of the pedigree of some of the high end Japanese knives and we will see how long they hold out but so far so good. Nice buy!

Knives are nice but not terrific. Definitely hand wash and dry immediately after using. They will stain if not. DO NOT USE IN DISHWASHER. That’s a given but still needs to be mentioned. They balance well in hand. Will last of you take care of them right.

Well weighted and large enough to fill the hand. Will hand wash and dry very thoroughly immediately, as that seems to be the key to longevity in any knife set.

The knives are very beautiful to say the least. They are heavy, very comfortable and very well balanced as well. They look great out of the box but being the perfectionist that I am, I took Mother's Aluminum Polish and polished the blades even a lot further...I love a very mirrored finish on the blades. If this is not you then trust me, they look very beautiful right out of the box and the carry case is equally nice as well. With this being said, there is a lot of reviews about rust and or water stains. These (as with most nice knives) should never see the inside of a dishwasher. They should be hand washed and dried and then a light coating of food grade mineral oil applied to the blade. If you do this, the blade will not rust. Treat them with care and I believe that they will last you a lifetime. They will definitely impress your guest!

I like these knives a lot. Cut steak perfectly and are nicely finished.

Le bois est délavé, sec et désagréable au toucher. Il est pas bien collé sur la lame et la finition laisse à désirer. Le logo sur la boîte de bois déborde de colle et la boîte elle même ne ferme pas bien.
