Awesome flame control. Also bought a bigger #4 tip for annealing and smelting. The torch comes with a double zero #00. That’s for small jump rings and focused heat on isolated metal. The quality is excellent. The package arrived protected and the item is as described. Smith is an excellent product.

I can't say enough good things about this torch. I have had a terrible time with my Turbo Torch, melting my silver at all different stages. Since I bought this torch, I haven't melted anything. If you enjoy working with silver, this is the torch for you! Buy the other 2 tips that are made for it and you will be set to go. This is the torch I suggest to potential jewelers to help them avoid the pitfalls I have encountered.

We are just starting metalsmithing jewelry. This setup worked great for a beginner, and is so versatile I'm sure we can use it for years to come.

Here it is, at last. After years of trying to make cheap imitations do what this torch does I finally spent the money and bought it. I bought the extra tips, and they all work great. I had a project I needed to get out and I grew impatient with the old torch. This torch works like it is supposed to and that is all I could ask for. A little pricey, maybe, but you get what you pay for. I like it. It works great for me.

I do jewelry and silver work. I love this torch. It's a real work horse. The only reson I gave this 4 stars rather than 5, the set comes just with an 00 tip. I find an 00 is great for chain making where you're soldering a lot of jump rings and is also great for soldering bezel wire. But doesn't produce enough heat for a lot of other work. I've also purchased 0-3 tips. I find the 0 and 1 tip best for general jewelry work. And a # 2 and 3 can melt silver for casting.

I love this torch! The small flame of the 00 tip allows me to have good control on the application of heat on small sterling silver components. I expect to have similar results with larger tips. This is much better that trying to solder with small kitchen butane torch.
