This item allowed me to fix a faulty windshield wiper (front) relay on a 2002 Ford Focus ZX-5. At the time, the windshield wipers were not functioning properly. The wiping cycle would not let the wipers return to the "home" position. Instead, the wipers would go down too far onto the cowl cover then come back, about 1/4 way or more up the windshield. Traveling at higher speeds caused this effect worsen, especially on the interstate. There, the wipers would continue drifting up the windshield slowly, even after the wiper cycle was supposed to have ended. It was to the point where the wipers were a vision hazard. After installing the new relay, the wiper function works perfectly! They now move to the correct positions every time...and no more "drifting" at high speeds. The old relay I pulled out of this car did not look like an OEM relay. -Not sure how it got in there to begin with, but that may have been a factor in this situation. These relays can be really tough to pull out. You may need a flat tool like a pry bar or flat-head screwdriver to help get it loosened so you can pull it out. *Most importantly, you are working with an electrical system, so disconnect the negative battery cable before servicing!* Keep in mind, these relays are plastic, so they are not indestructible! The price of the AC Delco F1757 Professional Multi-Purpose Relay seems a bit high to me, considering how small the part is, but after shopping around, it appears that relays in general just tend to run a bit pricey. -A great fix though and I'm very happy with the results!

Needed a relay for a foglight install and these worked perfectly and they are a lot cheaper than the name brand version.
