Beats Ninja & Nutribullet Food Processors for Smooth Pesto
I actually bought this for 1 thing and really only 1 thing: to make cilantro pesto. My Black and Decker 8 cup food processor broke, and as it's a huge part of my daughter's diet - I set out to get a new food processor. Quick review of Amazon led me to buy a Ninja for $99. The Ninja was gorgeous and really well made, but lo and behold - several attempts at pesto produced grainy and/or sandy textured pesto. Yeecchh. I'm not sure if it was the way it blended the nuts or the way it did the cilantro (stems and all). But the only way to get the pesto even remotely done was to OVER process it. Then I tried the Nutribullet food processor ($119), which was also really nice and even came with this cool spiralizer disc. No instructions for it though, but once you figured it out that was an uber cool feature. The Nutribullet did slightly better than the Ninja, but did leave a slightly sandy or grainy texture. After 10 years of making pesto w/ no problems at all w/ a $35 Black and Decker cheapo machine, I was bewildered. I even tried 1 more Chefman 4 cup food processor with a special "up and down" motion - and the texture was about the same as the Nutribullet, so somewhat grainy, again.- My husband said he thought maybe the newer processors run at lower RPMs (and something about less torque?) - they are a LOT quieter than the Black and Decker - so we came up w/ the idea of a blender based food processor as a possible solution. I dragged out my old Cuisanart blender and tried the same ingredients in that - and wa-la, no more sandy or grainy texture. But, it was too smooth. To get everything blended you end up with sort of a pesto smoothie - somewhat frothy, and no texture at all, and that is also not a good result. The pesto should have texture to it! Just not one that is sandy, grainy, or frothy. I began looking at immersion blenders with food processors - and the first problem I found is that most of them offer a 500ML chopper, which is a bit more than 2 cups. So small... I actually bought this one because it advertised 860ML - but in the end I think that's not accurate. I think the other ones are 500ML to the fill line - and this one is the same size, they just include the space OVER the file line which is around 2/3 of the way up the bowl. So I was a bit disappointed that the bowl wasn't a bit bigger. But, guess what... this thing makes DELICIOUS pesto - the texture is perfect, and it's easier, faster, quieter, and better in many ways than the Black and Decker. And the bowl is so much easier to scrape the pesto out of, very little left behind. It's also far easier to clean. Overall it's pretty amazing - and my 9 year old autistic daughter loves to put the engine/lid thing on and run the blender to make the pesto. We're super careful but this part is easy for her to do. If you are bewildered like me at why modern food processors don't seem able to make smooth pesto or other things with nuts, cheese, greens, etc - give this little machine a try. We stuff the bowl up to the top w/ cilantro and it breaks it all down quickly and with less stopping to scrape than any other food processor from the past. I did try the immersion blender for a 'personal smoothie' and it worked ok but I'm not sure I'd use it much over the Nutribullet blender we have - although I did use the whisk thing for scrambled eggs and it seemed fine although the whisk is pretty wimpy. For $25 bucks (got a $10 discount coupon) not sure I expect much more.

More than I bargained for!
I’ve never owned an Immersion Blender before, but I am an avid baker and always enjoy new kitchen appliance purchases! Originally, I purchased this Immersion Blender because I wanted to begin making homemade soap, however all the extra help was appreciated in the kitchen this holiday season. The quality is great and I am impressed with the speed and power of the motor. I’ve used the whisk tool for cakes and baked goods more time than I can count, I would recommend even a lower power setting to help when making different baked products. When using the Blender attachment it really came in handy during an emergency smoothie craving; I usually opt for a stand blender but decided to put my immersion blender to the test. I expected pieces of ice to still be chunky, but the smoothie was so smooth and delicious and the pineapple was also shredded/chopped very finely by the blender. Lastly, my favorite and most used aspect of this product has been the food processor. I enjoy the small size perfect for small portions in cooking and the blade quality. If I could make a suggestion for improvement, I would love it if the food processor bowl had measure increments imprinted and I think it would also be helpful if there was a locking component for the blade into the bowl or lid so it doesn’t easily fall out when disassembling. I have thoroughly enjoyed this product and plan on purchasing a second blender for my soap-making projects. This is a great value for the price.

Multipurpose Powerful Blender!
This 5-in-1 hand blender is a very useful and handy kitchen gadget that makes the food prep a breeze on busy days. I used the food chopper attachment to puree tomatoes and it did the job in just few seconds. Also, used the whisk attachment to whip up small batch of whipped cream for pancakes. Very easy to use and to clean (user friendly) . The product arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. Best part about purchasing the iSiLER products is their top notch customer service. Especially with online shopping, getting hold of the customer service team in case of any issue can be very challenging. I have purchased few other products from iSiLER for my cooking videos and their customer service is outstanding. They respond promptly to the emails and address the issues right away. Highly recommend this 5-in-1 hand blender from iSiLER as it is very sturdy and powerful.
