Really nice camera when you don't want to break the bank. Used on 20 dives around Socorro Islands and got fantastic results filming manta rays and sharks. Easy to use and make make adjustments underwater. Compact size was perfect and I just stuffed it in the zipper of my wetsuit when getting out of the water.

Obviously fits my Brave 7 like a glove. Definitely shuts and seals very tight. Latch takes a lot more force to open and close than the normal open housings. Buttons and touch screen all worked perfectly. I haven't used it for scuba yet but I snorkeled for like an hour with it with no issues. No degradation of image quality or anything either. I had a different camera that had hazing and aberrations when you put it in the waterproof housing, but no problems here. Would recommend.

I bought this at the same time as the camera for a trip I was going to snorkel on. The case worked great. Never leaked and the buttons work well. The only issue is once the camera is in this case you can no longer use the touchscreen so you can not change between video and photo in the water. Not a huge thing but not something I realized when I ordered it all. I also used it at the pool with the same results. After each adventure I rinsed it with fresh water and so far I see no rust or ware.

Bought once on August 10, 2024 and again on January 15, 2025 after the first one broke. The second one broke on August 13th, 2025. And it's the exact same break both times - right on the latch. This probably needs a redesign perhaps with stronger material. - UPDATE - AKASO support is fantastic! After I registered both purchases with their warranty site and reported the problem, they sent me replacements for both of my broken cases! 5 star support for a somewhat flawed design.

The media could not be loaded. I used this case recently on my trip to Mexico well snorkeling. It worked well and kept the water out of the device. Even though I know the Akaso brave 7 is waterproof to a extent, I didn't feel like cleaning saltwater out of it. It had a very nice tight hinge and felt secure.

While the Brave 7 is natively waterproof to 30 feet, that doesn't give it any extra protection. That's really only made for getting caught in the rain, or splashing around at the pool. Even if you're not planning on taking the Brave 7 scuba diving, if you're going whitewater kayaking, or planning to mount it to your surfboard, the camera is going to take a beating! For $20, this case is a great way to protect the camera, both in & out of water! If you scratch the lens on the camera, or smash it up during some rough activities, you're going to be pretty upset. If you scratch up the case or smash it, you just shrug it off & get another case.

I took this waterproof case (along with my akaso brave 7) snorkeling in Asia. It worked great. Now, for all of the reviews complaining that they couldn’t control the device while it was in the case obviously didn’t read their manual. You can swap between pictures and video with the side buttons as well as swapping to the front screen for selfies while underwater.
