Easy to use to make custom cables. All the components fit together perfectly. You'll need a crimper to attach your cable / wire to the connector pins, but if you need one of those, there are kits available on Amazon that include the connectors, connector pins, wrenches and crimper. If all you need are the connectors and pins, this works great and is priced right. I use these on both 12AWG and 10AWG size cable and both sizes of cable fit nicely into the connector pins and body.

They work as advertised. They came in well packaged with all parts present. The fastening tool is a wise inclusion.

1 of 3 solar panels was iffy at best. Replaced the positive connection, bingo. Should I come in after the manufacturer? yes but it's 10 bucks and the problem solved. The little plastic connector wrenches were worth the price of admission. Lots of spare parts😂

I had to replace the MC4 connectors on the solar cables coming into the house, and this kit had no instructions. I’d already watched several YouTube videos on how to crimp on the connectors and had the necessary tools, but none of those videos emphasized which metal tip went with which black connector piece. I ruined the first one I did by thinking the smaller male tip went with the male connector, which would make sense but is WRONG. It took hunting through YouTube videos until I found the guy who explained that it’s completely backwards: the fatter female tip goes inside the male connector casing and the narrower male tip goes inside the female. It would have been helpful if there had been an instruction sheet or label that doesn’t assume people already know how to use the product or leave it up to often lacking how-to videos online. But, anyway, I started building my system with cables with MC4 connectors I’d gotten free through Vine. One day I had a failure and discovered the MC4 connectors between two pieces of extension cables had literally melted. I freaked completely out! Then, after much research and checking voltages and such, I learned that (a) you should never connect MC4 connectors from different manufacturers and (b) a lot of MC4 connectors on the market are literally garbage. They will melt in the sun! As mine apparently did. After more research, I opted to go with the BougeRV MC4 connectors because they are of a higher quality than most of the value-priced connectors. (If I could afford to go with Staubli connectors, I would, but geez….) I’m replacing all the MC4s except for the ones attached to my solar panels with these BougeRV connectors so picked up the larger pack as well.
