Review: It does its job quite well - Second year in and it still works . We bought it for 85 dollars back then. It can accommodate 3 adult skis and one child ski. The locking might take some effort but we never had problems it coming loose during the drive. The rack is fastened with nuts and a secondary screw to prevent it from ever loosening. (For reference we drive a Subaru Forester) Review: Works as it's supposed to. Very clearly a 150 dollar rack tho - Fit on my 2012 WRX crossbars no problem. Fits well and holds my snowboard fine. The locks are kind of goofy, and would be super easy to drill out. But any smart criminal would just unscrew the wing nuts and steal the whole thing. I bought it to haul my boards 10-20 times a season, and it will do that well. Everyone complaining about the buttons being too tight just need to press down on the mechanism when pushing the buttons. Would buy again, but if I used it constantly I would buy name brand

Good Rack for the price.
Very Easy to install. It doesn’t quite attach to the roof rack very well as it slides back and forth relatively easy, and you definitely need some strength to get 4 boards onto this rack. When you put the boards onto the rack it doesn’t move back and forth as much, at least in my case it became much more stable with the boards on. Also I feel this rack can be stolen quite easily, the thief would just need a wrench. But regardless it’s a great rack and for a 8 hour drive it wasn’t as loud as I thought it’d be.

flawless for fishing poles. love this.
bought in 2020 and only had to replace cuz i forgot my keys and had to odestroy the thing to get my stuff out. I LOVE THIS for FISHING POLES. i am an avid angler and take many fishing trips to many places all the time and i hate toring my rods in my car. this rack allows me to mount my rods on my roof and keep them safe and out of the way from danger in my car. no more tips lost to windows, no more scratched headliner. just an aggressivly cool and LOCKING place to store my rods in motion. i have driven my fishing rods safely to and from my local lakes all the way to the bay and san diego for my annual multi day tuna trips. this rack is cheap. its far from a high end unit. but i dont care. it locks, its wide enough for some 8 fishing poles, and the time it would take someone to unscrew the 8 things to take the entire rack off is more than enough time for me to get gas, have dinner, etc. i have never used this for its intended purpose. i ONLY use this to transport fishing rods. rods go in the carrier in a row and backwards (butt of the rod facing front of car) and then locks for the drive. highly suggested if you are looking for a cheap and safe way to move your fishing rods long distances. or short. i did buy a new one this week (april 2025) as i left my keys at home for my last fishing trip and i had to cut the rubber and destroy the thing to get my rods out. i did this happily as i knew they were cheap enough to replace and thus this review. suggested. and well loved.

Hard to lock and broke after 6 uses
The one good thing was that they were relatively easy to install on our roof. After that it got bad - it was extremely hard to close with a few skis in it (way too tight, even for just one pair of skis) and similarly to open (the button to press was impossible to press to open by hand, something hard had to be used to bang against it to make it move). After using it with extreme difficulty a few times, the little key for the lock first bent and then broke off in the lock completely. After two trips to the mountains, we can't use it anymore...
