Pleased with it
I like this hand brace. Had a stroke a few years ago. Keeps my hand straight and I can bend it into extension properly. I read it four out of five stars simply because I feel like it could be a bit stiffer and it needs an extra strap for the wrist and knuckle area. The thumb is a bit awkward to set up. I would rated five stars it if it had that extra strap and the thumb area was situated better. There’s a bit of cloth on it that gets in the way when you are shopping your hand in.I decided to cut off a portion of each strap because it was so long, I wanted to wrap it myself. The Velcro that comes with it is exceptionally strong. I just super glued new Velcro straps and it’s working well.If you have had a stroke, this would be good for you to use. Just make sure your hand is tilted upwards in extension properly. Just the slightest bit, do not have your fingers pointed down into flexion that will fit into the tone!!(Flexion is a clinched fist and extension is an open fist when you’re trying to reach for something, fingers out.)I think $30 is a fair price for this item.

Ok for a while
These were good for about the first year, and maybe that was all they were made to be good for.But my person will need them for years.I’m looking for something that doesn’t wear out, and stay like new.

Great for carpal tunnel, too.
I do a lot with my hands and have carpal tunnel. The usual splints set the wrisr fine but allow the fingers to curl. I got these and I alternate which hand ai wear one kn at night. I bent the brace back like a carpal tunnel wrist brace but with the fingers also at the same angle. This has helped keep my fingers from clenching all night and keeps the tendons stretched. If they made thrse in a slip on mitt, I could wear 2 at a time, but with all the velcro I cant get the second on or off by myself except with my teeth. LOLI wear a small size ladies glove, these are oversizes, but you want that, so your fingers cant curl over the edge. These fir perfectly.

Too complicated to put on
My husband needs a hand brace to hold his fingers flat at night to prevent muscle contraction. This splint does keep his hand flat but it's much too complicated to put on. It's made to fit on either hand so it can be confusing as to which direction the straps should be wrapped. While wrapping the straps, the velcro on them tends to stick the straps together and you have to tear them apart and start over. Color coding would have helped the application process. My husband is disabled and there is no way he can put this brace on by himself. I don't recommend it for people without good hand coordination.

Comfortable but I would need a kid sized one
I'm 34 but have small hands this was a little big for me but my Dad ended up being able to use it and it's comfortable and is helping his carpal tunnel and sprained pinky.
