It work inserted into TV not receiver; plus colour?? So, it was ok for what I needed.

Good product.
I recently bought a FHD smart TV (LG). I was told that I can only play dvd here by HD dvd player. Then I see this HDMI CONVERTER in Amazon.Now I am seeing all my dvds ,vcd etc with my old dvd player (not a HD player).Picture quality is good.

Picture Quality not maintained.
Picture quality drops drastically. The minimum expectation is that the picture quality of the source feed is maintained on the HDMI output. Additionally, the device does not work with a 5V 1A adapter, a 5V 2A adapter is needed for the device to work. The box says, no power supply is needed but that is not true.

Perfect for my use.
I am using this device to convert video out from a drone FPV receiver and out to HD tv. Since my tv is new it did not have the old AV video in connection, only HDMI in, so this converter was the perfect device to use. It is also very compact, which is nice to save on space.

Requires a power source. Had to get a new one which works great
I bought this so that I could play my old N64 on my tv. It hasn’t worked. I have ordered a new RCA to try that out, and I’ll amend this. Also kinda annoyed that it requires its own power via the USB/USBC cord that comes with it.Update: given that The N64 is almost as old as me, I got a new cord for my N64 and the converter still does not work. I have a 4K tv (a Samsung, less than 2 years old) and a 1080 tv (an insignia that is probably 5ish years old but has no problem with our Apple TV) and it won’t work with either tv.Update again: got a new one at no cost. This one works great. It’s great to relive these nostalgic games now because of this little box. When they work, they work great. It’s pretty easy to set up. The picture quality isn’t fantastic, but I’m running an N64 on a 4K tv that is much bigger than that system was ever designed to be put in.
