Exact to its description, and exceeds my expectations. You'd think that any ole desk lamp would do -- not so. Many are too lightweight to stand sturdily, or made in such a way that the pole and extensions loosen and sag over time. I haven't had this for long, but I am confident by its design, components, and assembly that it will hold up. The adjustable position of the extension apparatus and overall light is ideal. The base never has to move to reposition the light. As a bonus, the intensity of the light's brightness is adjustable. Easy on; easy off. All this, and it's attractive and a great price. I bought this for my home office. I'm requisitioning the purchase of 6 more for our business office. And, I'll buy my son one for his apartment. Keeper.

I bought this for lighting for when I watercolor and make jewelry. My desk is one of the first things you see when you walk in the door so I needed strong task lighting that didn’t look like it came straight from office supply. It is perfect! The strength of the light is great for exact work and I like the flexibility of the adjustable brightness. It is heavy for its size, indicating quality. The brass color is very elegant. It was easy to assemble and the touch on/off button is extremely convenient when you have your hands full. The simple lines will fit in any decor. Quite pleased with this Amazon find!

I am pleased with this lamp. It is good quality and sturdy. It moves smoothly and I appreciate that there is an opaque lens over the light so it doesn’t hurt your eyes. You can also rotate it up or down in addition to side to side. It’s more of a gold color, I think, though.

Really nice table lamp. Showed up as described, the base is heavy, and easy to assemble. Lighting is also decent.

I like this lamp very much. It's a very handy size, is attractive, and an excellent adjustable light source. But I have two little quibbles. The hinges are so tight that when I want to rotate the lamp arm, the whole base turns instead, and it moves a little as it goes. Not a big problem, just an annoyance.Also, I use it with the arm fully extended, and any slight pressure on the lamp, as when adjusting it, causes it to begin to tip. The base could use a little more weight. Again, just an annoyance. I really light this lamp.

I hit the jackpot with this cool little lamp. Replaced a less-than-year-old and expensive desk lamp from a big national home furnishings chain that simply fell apart at one of the joints.This little (it's the perfect size) gem is exactly what I was looking for. Great light, sturdy (heavier than I expected), stylish, but compact and sleek. For those who said it's not bright enough, I beg to differ. It's more than bright enough. I run it about half speed using the convenient dimming on/off button. There is literally nothing not to like about this lamp. Don't hesitate to buy it. And, no, I didn't get it free.I got black because it matches my desk. I looked for a long time, but was influenced by the many positive reviews here. Merry Christmas early!
