A Pleasant Surprise - Bali Soap's Feminine Collection!
I bought Bali Soap's Feminine Collection Natural Soap as a gift for my wife, but I have to admit, it's become one of my personal favorites too! This soap has been an incredible find, offering both great value and a delightful fragrance that lingers. When I purchased it for my wife, I initially thought of it as a thoughtful gift to pamper her with natural, gentle ingredients. Little did I know that I'd be tempted to try it myself. The soap's formula is simply fantastic, leaving our skin feeling smooth, nourished, and never dry. The variety of scents in the Feminine Collection is impressive, and each bar has its unique charm. The enticing aromas make shower time a pleasant sensory experience, and the fragrance subtly lingers on the skin, adding a touch of indulgence to our daily routine. Speaking of value, the soap's longevity is truly commendable. The bars seem to last forever, and we have been using them for weeks without any signs of wearing out. It's rare to find such high-quality soap at such an affordable price, making it a win-win for both our wallets and our skin. The natural ingredients in this soap make it an excellent choice for both my wife and me. We appreciate that it's free from harsh chemicals and artificial additives, giving us the confidence that we're using a product that cares for our skin's well-being. I must say, Bali Soap's Feminine Collection has pleasantly surprised us both. It's rare to find a product that exceeds expectations, but this soap has certainly done so. From being a thoughtful gift for my wife, it has transformed into an essential part of our daily routine. We've become loyal fans of this soap, and we're excited to try more products from Bali Soap in the future. In conclusion, if you're looking for a soap that offers incredible value, a delightful fragrance, and natural goodness for your skin, look no further than Bali Soap's Feminine Collection. Whether it's a gift or a personal indulgence, this soap won't disappoint. A solid 5-star rating from both my wife and me!

Good cheaper alternative to squat chain bars with similar base smells
Ok this soap is not for everyone, I understand people have there own style. So in the individual wrapped packages it's hard to smell the bar so they all smell alike. Once you open them is when u get the strong smell. The clove and cinnamon, lemon and pine and sandlewood and mint is what I opened so far. The cinnamon and the lemon and pine both smell really good. They remind me of the squat soap pine bars, they smell very similar. The sandlewood and mint smells bad, but thats just me. It smells like feet. The soap lathers well and after smell is good not as strong as I want but decent. Waiting to open the other 3 bars to see the true smell. Like I said there's a lot of comments on these all smell the same, and they do until you unwrap each Individual bar and you smell the difference. Overall a good alternative to squatch seeing that the base smell is very similar with the pine and cinnamon.

I love it. No more dry skin
Ill try to keep this short and sweet... Ive been suffering with dry skin and dandruff for 10+ years. I had tried a lot of different name brands, Axe, Old Spice, Pert, Selsun Blue, Head and Shoulders, Irish Spring, Suave, various store brands... With all of those, my face stayed dry and the dandruff continued. I figured I just had bad skin... I used numerous brands of Lotions after showers daily and still, the dry skin would persist. I had pretty much just accepted that I was a dry skin kind of guy and would just keep lotion handy to moisturize as needed. I started seeing ads on Tv recently for Dr. Squatch saying they could solve my problems. I checked on them and the price was utterly bonkers. I figured, you know, ill check Amazon and see if there is something comparable and Amazon recommended this. Ive been using this soap daily for just over a week now, and my skin is the best it has been since I was a teenager, or maybe ever. I stopped using any other soap just for testing this out, and have even been using this in my hair and on my scalp. I have still been using lotion because I dont want to take a chance on getting really dry skin on my face, I find it embarrassing. But I almost think I could stop using lotion and be ok. This is just my personal experience, and it is still somewhat early, but as of right now I am FAR BEYOND HAPPY with this product. The scents are a little strong, but I dont mind, I like it. When I first opened the box I was worried they smelled like grandma perfume, but I think just having them all combined in a box made them smell strange. One review said the smell faded, but I think they just went a bit noseblind to it. I still smell it just walking passed my bathroom and ive used up half the bar already. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Fair priced, pleasant smell, great results. It may not be for everyone, but it has been incredible for me and I would definitely give it a try if you are in the market for a good soap.

HUGE FAN...IT'S THE BEST!
I started using this soap based on reviews a few years ago and I have never looked back or purchased another soap since then. The soap selection is so nice and it feels and smells so good. One great thing about this soap is that it lathers until the last bit is gone. Usually when you purchase a soap and it's 3/4 gone, it doesn't seem to lather anymore. I get every last bit out of this soap and I love that because I feel like it's giving me my money's worth. Another thing that I love about it is that the soap not only smells great, but it moisturizes and I feel so super clean afterwards. I have super sensitive skin, I'm in my 50's and still break out like a teenager, but this soap is so mild that I use it on my body, face and hair. I can't say enough good things about it. I don't have much on my "save and subscribe" list but this item has been on there since I first started using it and I have turned my mom and niece on to it too and they fell in love as well. I also feel like the price is good for six bars and I feel that they do last longer than a regular bar of soap. I love having found a natural soap that I can use as an all-over body soap. I'm so happy I found this!

Small but mighty!
Hey, guys. About six months ago, I set out on a mission to find an economical, natural soap for men. I tried over 20 sets of soaps. If you’re interested in reading a comprehensive review of these soaps, look up my review under Crate 61-For Him. Then come back to this review to read more about Bali-Masculine. The Basics The following discussion focuses on Bali’s variety packs, which come in packs of six soaps. Just FYI, you can also buy Bali soaps in a 3-, 6-, or 12-pack of a single flavor (e.g., a 12-pack of just the Sandalwood soap). Thus, if you find a flavor in a variety pack that you really love, order it in a multi-pack. Bali sells four sets of soaps. Although the focus of this review shall be on Bali-Masculine, I’ll include observations on the other sets as we go along. To begin, here are some basic stats on Bali-Masculine. All stats are as of 12/31/22. • Price/pack: $17.85 • Soaps/pack: 6 • Ounces/bar: 3.5 • Price/bar: $2.98 (Since soaps come in all sizes, you should really look at the price/ounce to compare different soap brands.) • Price/ounce: $0.85 • Scents (my descriptors): masculine, earthy, fruity, and spicy (I give specifics below.) • 4-5 Star Rating: 85% (Combines the percentage of people giving the soap a four- or five-star rating. I only considered soaps that rated over 80% on this criterion.) • # Ratings: 1501 (The total number of ratings received. I only considered soaps with hundreds of ratings.) The price of the other three sets is the same as this one, so all the pricing information listed above also applies to the other three sets. However, the scents, the ratings, and the number of ratings differs for each set. At this price point, Bali is one of the more economical, all-natural soaps on the market. In my study, the price of soaps varied from a low of $.69/ounce to a high of $1.06/ounce. At the time I purchased Bali, I paid an average of $0.83/ounce, and now it’s at $0.85/ounce. Thus, Bali is somewhere in the middle range of the economical, all-natural soaps that I evaluated. The Soap Sets & Scents Masculine • Scents: Lemon & Pine*, Ginger & Coffee, Sandalwood & Mint*, Agarwood & Spice**, Clove & Cinnamon, and Eucalyptus & Lime • This soap is marketed to men. • These soaps have mild scents. • The overall qualities I would give these soaps are “earthy,” “fruity,” “spicy,” and “masculine.” Green • Scents: Coconut, Papaya**, Vanilla, Lemongrass*, Jasmine, and Ylang-Ylang. • This soap is marketed to men and women. • These soaps have mild scents. • The overall quality I would give these soaps are “masculine, “fruity,” “earthy,” and “flowery.” Orange • Scents: Passion Fruit, Sandalwood*, Mango, Cinnamon, Plumeria, and Bamboo Charcoal**. • This soap is marketed to men and women. • These soaps have mild scents. • The overall qualities I would give these soaps are “earthy,” “fruity,” and “flowery.” Feminine • Scents: Bergamot & Gardenia, Jasmine & Mint, Lotus & Neroli*, Chamomile & Moringa*, Tuberose & Lily, and Green Tea & Lime • This soap is marketed to women. • These soaps have mild scents. • The overall qualities I would give these soaps are “feminine,” “flowery,” and “earthy.” **My favorite scent in each set. *Other scents I liked. Please note that a choice of scent is something very personal. Your favorites might end up being quite different from mine. The Ingredients All Bali soaps have the same base ingredients: palm oil, coconut oil, water, alkali (NaOH), fragrant oils, and natural botanicals (e.g., powders, flowers, etc.). The important thing to note is that the base soap is the same. What makes each soap bar different is the fragrance and other botanicals added to each soap, and this will give different soaps different scents, colors, and textures. Thus, in the end, your choice of a Bali soap or soap set will come down to your preference of scents. If you read the negative reviews on Amazon, you will find that some people (including myself) find the scent of the common ingredients in Bali soaps unpleasant. Manufacturers add fragrances and essential oils to each soap to give it a particular scent (e.g., coconut oil to make the Coconut soap smell like coconut). However, the base ingredients in a soap also contribute to its scent; and, apparently, the base ingredients in Bali soaps have an unpleasant scent to some people. On the other hand, many people on Amazon rave about Bali soaps, so this isn’t an issue for everyone. I would advise you to buy one set and try it. If you find the scents pleasing, great. If not, use the soaps as hand soaps and discontinue buying them. If it turns out that you don’t like Bali soaps, you can find many other options in my review for Crate 61-For Him. Don’t let this scare you from trying Bali soaps. If you consider all the reviews ever posted on Bali soaps, relatively few people have complained about its smell. Thus, you may find that you like the smell of Bali soaps. Additionally, Bali has other virtues, as I explain in the next section. What is natural? In my review for Crate 61-For Him, I explain in detail my definition of “natural.” In a nutshell, a natural soap should contain essential oils, other natural ingredients like shea butter, and no unnecessary ingredients such as the following: additives, fragrances, micas, colorants, and, of course, unpronounceable chemicals. I evaluated over 10 brands of soap. If I were to strictly adhere to my definition of all-natural, only Crate 61 and Dr. Squatch would qualify without a doubt. Bali also qualifies if you’re willing to accept the "natural botanicals" and the colorants they add to the soaps. Some soaps seem to have very unnatural colors. This makes me suspect that Bali adds colorants to the soaps. For example, the Eucalyptus & Lime soap has an intense aquamarine color that could only be achieved with colorants. In the end, you’ll have to decide what you’re willing to live with; for, if you use the same strict definition that I do, you’ll be hard pressed to find many options. You need to be attentive and take the time to read the ingredients. Here’s what you may find on the ingredient list and what should/should not be of concern: • Lye may be included in the ingredients. Be aware that lye is used to make soap, but there is no lye in the final product. Also be aware that lye has many names. For example, Bali lists it as NaOH (Alkali) in their ingredient list. • Oils: All soaps have one or more oils in it. Some form part of the base soap, and others are essential oils used to give the soap its scent. • Shea butter: This is often added to soaps to make it more moisturizing. Bali soaps don’t contain shea butter. • Additives: Sometimes this is listed with no further explanation. Demand to know what is added and for what purpose. These are unnecessary. • Fragrance: In a natural soap, the scent should come from the essential oils in it. Thus, if only “fragrance” is listed, demand to know what was added to the soap. • Micas: Micas are powders made of minerals. They add color and glimmer to soaps. This is an unnecessary ingredient. • Colorants: Demand to know exactly what is added to the soap to give it color. This, too, is an unnecessary ingredient. In the end, everyone’s definition of “natural” is different. What ingredients one is willing to live with are different. And how far one is willing to stray from one’s definition of “natural” is different. How far from your definition of “all-natural” is Bali given that it adds colorants and other “botanicals” to its soap? You’ll have to decide that for yourself. More on the Bali-Masculine Set Let me focus a little more on the Masculine set since this is the set that’s most likely to appeal to the men reading this review. These are the scents included in the Masculine set: • Lemon & Pine*: This soap has a fresh, clean smell. • Ginger & Coffee: I love the taste of ginger, and I drink coffee daily. Although the scents combined well in this soap, I don’t want to smell like ginger and coffee. • Sandalwood & Mint*: This soap has a woodsy, minty smell. Minty soaps are among my favorites. • Agarwood & Spice**: This was both my favorite scent of the Masculine collection and my favorite scent of all the Bali soaps that I used. The soap has a spicey and woodsy smell that is very pleasant and masculine. • Clove & Cinnamon: Clove and cinnamon are both great spices that I enjoy in my food, but I don’t particularly want to smell like clove and cinnamon. • Eucalyptus & Lime: Eucalyptus and citrus are both among my favorite scents, so it was nice to see them combined in one soap. **My favorite scent *Others that I liked Part of the fun of trying different soaps is discovering what you like and what you don’t like. Some scents will knock your socks off. Others will clearly repel you. And some you will smell and say, “Meh, I can take it or leave it.” Here are my favorite scents: • Fruity flavors, particularly those of the citrus variety • Coconut • Eucalyptus • Mint • Patchouli (men either love it or hate it) • Pine Tar (men either love it or hate it) • Tea Tree (a great deodorizer) But that’s me. As you try different soaps, you’ll discover the ones that make your all-star list! Ranking the Bali Sets Here’s how I would rank the Bali sets in terms of which ones are most likely to appeal to men: • Masculine • Orange • Green • Feminine I had a hard time ranking the Orange and Green sets in terms of their appeal to men. Both sets have soaps that are marketed to men and women; and, in the end, it depends upon which flavors you think you’ll like more. Here’s how they rank on Amazon in terms of popularity: • Green (10,023) • Orange (2,401) • Masculine (1,501) • Feminine (277) My recommendation would be to start with the Masculine set. Bali Sets Versus Sets of Other Brands Here is my list of my top 10 soaps. The percentage in parenthesis is my own personal rating. 1. Age of Sage-Masculine (85%) 2. 360 Feel-Men’s (84%) 3. Crate 61-Citrus (83%) 4. Crate 61-For Him (83%) 5. Age of Sage-Fruity (81%) 6. Crate 61-Popular (81%) 7. Crate 61-Dry Skin (80%) 8. Age of Sage-Galactic (79%) 9. Age of Sage-Macho (77%) 10. 360 Feel-Fresh (77%) As you can see, Bali soap sets didn’t make my top ten, but they did rank in the top 15 out of the 25 sets that I tried. Bali-Masculine Versus Sets of Other Brands for Men Here’s how Bali-Masculine stacks up to other sets marketed to men. 1. Age of Sage-Masculine (85%) 2. 360 Feel-Men’s (84%) 3. Crate 61-For Him (83%) 4. Age of Sage-Macho (77%) 5. Bali-Masculine (74%) 6. Purelis-Men’s (73%) 7. Natural American-Soldier (72%) 8. Natural American-Elements (71%) As you can see, Bali fell somewhere in the middle of the group. However, keep in mind that this list represents MY personal preferences. You might try Bali and go gaga over it, and you might rank it #1. Here’s some general advice to help you pick the one(s) you might want to try: 1. Age of Sage-Masculine: strong earthy scents 2. 360 Feel-Men’s: moderate earthy and fruity scents 3. Crate 61-For Him: mild to moderate earthy and fruity scents 4. Age of Sage-Macho: moderate fresh scents 5. Bali-Masculine: mild earthy and fruity scents 6. Purelis-Men’s: mild to moderate earthy scents 7. Natural American-Soldier: mild fresh scents 8. Natural American-Elements: mild earthy scents I clearly prefer soaps with stronger scents, and I prefer earthy scents over fresh scents. However, your preferences might be different. Bali Versus Other Brands Here’s how Bali stacks up to other brands. 1. Crate 61 (82%) 2. Age of Sage (81%) 3. 360 Feel (80%) 4. Bali (74%) 5. Dr. Bronner (73%) 6. Purelis (73%) 7. Natural American (71%) Again, Bali fell in the middle. I reiterate that these ratings reflect MY personal preferences. Your rankings could be different. In my review for Crate 61, I provide additional reflections on these brands. Strengths and Weaknesses of Bali Here are the strengths of Bali: • Offers many flavors that appeal to both men and women. • Comes closer than most to truly being all-natural. • Reasonably priced. Here are the weaknesses of Bali: • You can't expect your everyday consumer to know what NaOH is, so please use its common name or explain what it is on the label. • Some find the smell of the base soap unpleasant, and many have reported that the scents are too mild (i.e., you can hardly smell the scents). • At 3.5 ounces, this is the smallest soap I tried. For some, this might be too small for a bath soap (and feel more like a hand soap), but this is a very personal choice. Would I Buy Bali Soaps Again? In my own personal ratings, Bali scored high on its all-natural ingredients and fair pricing. However, in the end, I don’t think I’d buy Bali soaps again because of the unpleasant smell of the base soap. On the other hand, I emphasize that this is a concern that few reviewers on Amazon have expressed, so I wouldn’t let this hold you back from trying it. If you take away one lesson from this review, let it be that you shouldn’t decide to buy a soap based on someone else’s opinion. Your skin and your nose are very different than mine, and you might go crazy for Bali soaps! My Recommendations for Bali • Explain what NaOH is on the label. Simply putting "NaOH (lye)" on the label would do. • Consider adding shea butter to your soaps to improve hydration. • Consider why some people find the smell of your soap unpleasant and adjust the ingredients accordingly. Thank you for being one of the more honest soap producers on the market! Want More? Look for my individual reviews of these soaps in the next three weeks, and remember that a comprehensive, overall review of these soaps is posted under Crate 61-For Him. • 360 Feel-Men’s (complete) • Age of Sage-Masculine (complete) • Bali-Men’s (this review) • Crate 61-For Him (complete) • Dr. Bronner (8-pack variety set) (coming soon) • Dr. Squatch (10-bar, Set 2) (complete) • Natural American-Soldier (coming soon) • Purelis-Men’s (coming soon) A Final Note Now go out there and find the soap that’s right for you!

Impressed, I'll buy again
Great scent, great lather, long lasting. Very smooth on skin. I tried Squatch and was very disappointed. Really like these. I like that the scent is not overpowering. I'll buy again when I run out. Great quality soap, fresh feeling after shower.

Good
I read several reviews, I always check 1 star reviews then move up. I will address a few things. First I used to use liquid soap because cheap bar soaps always felt like a film was left on my body (by cheap I am talk name brand mass produced soaps) and liquid soaps did not. Then I tried Dr. Squatch. It worked great and I did like it, except the pine tar cause of it crumbling. However that was fairly expensive per bar for a good bar soap that felt better. So I went searching for other "natural" soaps (in quotes because everything we make and use is from nature it is more referring to how far processed it is) and thus the price on here was slightly cheaper/oz. So I bought them and tried first time today. Now some complaints made. Smell, it DOES NOT smell like 409. I have that under the sink in my bathroom. Also the bars have such a strong scent that even walking into my bathroom I can smell them. For those saying the scent doesn't last all day, first your nose gets used to scents you smell for a long period of time and block it out eventually. Also, other scent appear during the day. They also do not smell the same. Maybe a smoker will not notice difference, but as a prior professional cook I can tell the difference easily. Next moisturizing, it does just as good as any other bar soap. I use moisturizer if I really need it, but I don't feel dry after using it so it works. Finally value, as stated above it is worth the price. They are not high name brand fu fu soap, but it does the trick. Don't expect name brand recognition or clout. This is a good bar for a reasonable price. If the size was 4.5 or 5 oz per bar I would have rated it 5 stars.

Top Qualität, ich bin Stammkunde for life!

Fragrance not as advertised
Bought based on fragrances described as bergamot and gardenia, tuberose and lily, which are some of my favourites. However, these smell nothing like those beautiful scents, having a smell nearer to animal fat and chemicals. Very unpleasant, would not recommend
