From Garry Marshall, the director of Pretty Woman and Valentine's Day, comes Mother's Day, an all-star comedy that celebrates parenthood and family. Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis lead an incredible cast in a film that intersects the lives of a group of people maneuvering their way through a crazy week of difficult relationships and family dysfunction in the week leading up to Mother's Day. It's a comedy that will make you laugh, cry and cheer!Bonus Content:Deleted ScenesGag Reel Review: Yes, it is a "chick flick" but .... - Watched last night and happy I did. Since there are a fair number of negative reviews felt I should post my positive support. What I liked: all the actors, the cinematography, the script, the settings. It has a quality feel to the filming which I appreciate. The actors all made me believe their roles. Sometimes it felt like I was sitting there chatting with Jennifer and Kate, it came across that natural. Well balanced between humor and poignancy. It is not a movie these actors did to be in contention for an Oscar but that's fine with me as many of those films are not fun to watch, if I do at all. This is a fun, easy watch that follows a slice of the characters lives with hope for the future. If you like the actors and aren't looking for dark, angsty, I think you will enjoy this film. Review: A perfect mother's day thanks to this wonderful movie, check it out, you'll love it! - Mom's been stuck inside due to some mobility issues and I wanted to enjoy Mother's day with her, well, this movie did the trick! Top notch actors/actresses and it was quite touching as well. I would highly recommend seeing this movie or getting it ready for next year's Mother's day!

Heartfelt and a positive message
Mother's Day is a funny, heart felt and entertaining movie. I wanted to watch this when it was released in 2016, but I was hesitant, Julia Roberts in a red wig did not appeal to me, so I took a chance and decided to watch it and I would watch it again, maybe with my parents or sisters who are mothers. Funny at times, good chemistry between all the actors, Jason and Jennifer have awesome chemistry. Kate Hudson looked beautiful and youthful as always and is great to watch (I have a crush on her), other than that, it was Garry Marshalls last film (I think). He will be missed and I loved all his movies, A League Of Their Own, Pretty Woman, Soap Dish (one of my all time favorites) and many more. So, thank you Mr. Marshall for entertaining us and directing such heart felt movies which sent out beautiful messages and this message was noted, yes I am a mommas boy, but I did take my mothers love for granted at times, but know she is my best friend, confident, therapist and an angel sent from above, Te quiero mami! I love you mom!

Funny and Entertaining!!!!
If there were half stars I'd give this a 4 1/2. I saw this movie at the movies with my mom and then rented it again to watch with my 17 yr old daughter. We all thought it was a really good movie. It was really pretty funny and we all laughed throughout it. The parents of Kate Hudson and Sarah Chalke, who play sisters, have strong opinions against lesbians and Indians, but it is all done in a humorous way not maliciously and spoiler alert****** In the end they finally come around. There are several different story lines going on in this movie two sister's who never see their parents and basically moved because the parents weren't accepting of who the one dated and the lifestyle of the other. There is also a man who is a widower raising his 2 daughter's and his women friends wanting to set him up on a date. There is a woman who is divorced and shares custody of their 2 sons, but her ex had a surprise in store for her. Also, a cute young couple who have a baby and the girl reluctant to commit to marriage since she grew up without a mom because she was put up for adoption and she is building up the courage to meet her mom. Anyway, me, mom, and my daughter thought it was entertaining and as I said before laughing throughout. It's a good movie to see with your mom, daughter or a girl friend. I would recommend it.

Fine for a boozy girls night, but otherwise lacking.
I feel like this is a great example of a film where too much emphasis was placed on squeezing big names together rather than finding an ensemble that shared good chemistry. Also, while the film's narrative moved forward based on a series of interconnecting stories told vignette style, it felt like they didn't spend enough time to truly develop those stories or nurture the viewer's emotional investment. Screen time was wasted on unnecessary comedic relief like the runaway RV scene which wasn't even very comedic and Jason Sudeikis' mom friends at the gym who felt like one dimensional tropes. For a movie set in Atlanta, this cast was not at all representative of the large ethnic and racial diversity in that city. If you want to make a movie about goofy, emotionally struggling white people, set it in Seattle, don't set it in Atlanta and pretend there are only two or three people of color in the whole place. I really wanted to see the stepmom eat a little more humble-pie than she did, like a lot more, like maybe the whole pie. Jennifer Aniston and Britt Robertson's performances were really the only redeeming qualities of this movie and I say this as a fan of most of the big names in this movie. As much as I love Jennifer Garner, I rather suspect they could have used the money they spent on her small part to find a better wig for Julia Roberts, because hot damn that was bad. The storyline with the deceased marine mom was well written, I will say that and I did feel drawn in to that story- it was one of the places where the filmmakers should have focused more energy. Frankly, the film would have been totally fine without the storyline of the two sisters and their backwards trailerpark parents, which didn't really have any emotional weight to it. I want to like this more and maybe with a bottle of rose, I might have.

Good and interesting storylines with humor throughout.
This is surprisingly funny. I say "surprisingly" because many movies with a big name ensemble cast lack in content and sell themselves more on the large well-known cast. The other thing I usually don't care for in ensemble cast movies, is that there are too many storylines going on at the same time. However, these characters are pretty well developed and each of the stories keep you interested till the end. It doesn't hurt that it is directed by the great Gary Marshall from Pretty Woman fame. It also helps that I like the three main actresses in the movie: Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Even my boyfriend liked the humor, even though this is pretty much a chick flick.

I saw this movie today with my husband and we laughed and cried. It was a great movie with fantastic actresses and actors. This movie is very funny and has lots of funny tag lines to laugh about later. I thought it was very well done and a different twist. If you are super critical and everything offends you easily, this isn't the movie for you. But if you like a good clean movie that isn't filled with naked sex starved scenes you will enjoy it. This movie is funny and as a mother, I loved it. My mother would have enjoyed it too. I will be recommending it to whomever wants a unique take on a movie. I thought it was going to be sappy and it wasn't. I laughed repeatedly, my husband did too. Great movie.
