This is a nice iron, at the expensive end of the scale. It looks sleek and smart, and is very efficient. Both the power cord and the steam cord are long enough to enable easy use, even if the base is on the floor.It heats up to temperature quickly. The base is easy to fill with water and the steam button is extremely sensitive, delivering a lot of steam almost instantly. While I wouldn't say my ironing time has been halved, it has certainly become easier and quicker.There isn't a temperature control dial/button (corresponding to the 'spots' guide on clothing labels), but the temperature appears, so far, to be suitable for all fabrics, so if you don't like having to remember to change the settings this is ideal.For me, there is one con: This is an expensive and well designed iron, but the designers neglected to include power cord storage. The steam cord slides in to a slot on the side, but there is nowhere for the power cord to be stored neatly out of the way. Wherever I try to put it, it isn't securely stored - and could possibly cause a problem if the iron is stored in a limited space as it could get caught on other items. I'm surprised the designers didn't think of this. It also spoils the overall look.However, it's a very good iron and I would recommend.

Fabulous iron, fast powerful steam. Had previously bought a Phillips one similar price and it was very loud like a screaming noise and also did not generate as much steam as this at all when held up vertical. Really pleased with this iron

This is a good steam generator iron, but not great. On the plus side, it generates a lot of steam, the iron itself is lightweight and the removable water tank is a great feature. The auto-temperature feature also works very well.The negatives for me are all design-related. Starting with the controls, these are the 'blister' type, so no real positive feedback when you press them, the labels for the controls are printed in white text on a silver background (some are backlit when in use), so can be difficult to see. The iron sits lower on the base unit than the design suggests, which takes a bit of getting used to, and if you stand the iron vertically, the integrated stand is prone to allowing the iron to fall backwards due to its light weight. The steam button is also very sensitive, resulting in steam being dispensed when you might not intend (and you get a lot of steam...).All that said, the hose length is very good and the integrated cord storage does work quite well. Too early to tell how durable this unit will be, and I suspect the blister controls will stop working before anything else does. Not sure I'd pay the full price for it, but it's often discounted and therefore worth considering.

We’ve had this iron for quite a while now, and I’ve finally decided it’s time to share my thoughts on it. As a household of three, we use it regularly, and it has proven to be a fantastic purchase!While it was a bit more expensive than some alternatives, I can confidently say it’s worth every penny. The performance is outstanding, making the task of ironing much easier and more efficient.Next time we need a new iron, I will definitely consider the Tefal steam generator range again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality iron!

Fantastic iron.

This is my 3rd steam generator, last one I had for 17 years!!!. I did buy a cheap alternative and I hated it. Looking at prices I thought expensive. This one came up just short of £220 and I’m so glad I ordered it . I had piles of ironing and kept putting the task off until I plugged this in,wow not disappointed.. glides easily and lightweight job done fast. This is the 1st one that the water tank removes to fill it up…definitely a plus well done Tefal .

The iron spits out water constantly in both modes eco and normal, absolute waste of money, also the handle cracked and broke when I applied some pressure to the clothing while ironing, very badly made, terrible steam iron
