What are the differences that really count between the two Wen planets - 12-1/2" & 13"?

The product description pics answer this question pretty well. - 12 1/2” model doesn’t have a top cover. - 13” model has a stamped (but nicely polished) steel table, and not the nice granite table like the 12 1/2”.

The wen website says this is a 12 amp planer why is it advertised here as a 15a?

The planer itself says 12 amp, and the manual also confirms 12 amp. Not sure why the title says otherwise.

What does this machine do?

It creates more snipe than you can shake a stick at. Unless you are prepared to loose five inches off both ends of every board buy a different machine.
