The Hijacking of an Open Initiative, Promotion of a Proprietary Trojan Horse, and No Original Researcher Acknowledgements.
The Intercloud concept was born out of the desire to federate clouds in a transparent multi-vendor ecosystem just as the phone network and the Internet before it. On behalf of all the researchers who worked in the open community including NIST, IEEE, OGF, intercloudtestbed.org, and dozens of Universities and Companies who pioneered the "Open" Intercloud technology in standards organizations, published research papers, held workshops, and created open source, "Gee Thank You to Cisco and the Authors" for creating a Cisco "Proprietary Intercloud" offering which discarded those ambitions to promote a Lock-in to Cisco trojan horse strategy, and then for writing this book without acknowledgements to any of the larger contributing community. Classic Cisco. Ken and Monique I thought you were above that!
