Bad grammar, almost gave me a brain aneurysm. Some thoughts aren’t clear, or are fancy words for gibberish.

Extremely limited and very basic information. Blood lab information is minimal. Not a decent reference book.Highly DisappointedWasted my money on this purchase

The media could not be loaded.  I was expecting a discourse on lab values, explaining the reference ranges and some information on how the values are determined for medical use.What I got was an FYI, less informative than a Google scholar search.

I have always been curious about how to interpret lab values. I purchased this book written by Nathan Orwell to learn. My nephew is studying to be a doctor and this information will be helpful for him especially. The author has outlined convenient ways to figure out the right test for your patient, provides quick access to pertinent information (such as abbreviations and measurements), it has a quick way to update yourself on some concepts and procedures and so much more. What a valuable asset of a book to have in my nephew's career advancement.

This book will help both people going into the medical field and those who have blood taken regularly. The book will teach you how to understand the results. The book is written in a way that someone with little to no medical knowledge can understand (ie no foreign medical terms). Nathan Orwell even took the time to explain how the labs are done (blood draws, stool samples exc.). Which is helpful if you have anxiety and are getting some testing done. You will know what to expect.

This book provides detailed instructions on basic laboratory skills and instructions on how to handle the diagnosis of disease. Content has depth and increased enjoyment.

If you have always had trouble understanding lab values, this book can really help you.The author gives a great overview of all the different types of laboratory tests, in a clear and simple way.In my opinion an excellent manual and very useful for both students and professionals, especially considering the paperback price rather low compared to other similar books.Definitely a must have in your collection!

I really wished I had read the reviews first. The book is so badly written it's impossible to read. It's full of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. It's like it's been translated really badly from another language. Stay away.

Spelling, grammar, and formatting errors, plus sometimes there were words missing where they should have been.There were a few pages of the book that are completely coming out and the cover/back page started to curl super fast when left on the side.

Avoid it.

Interesting and useful for us medical students, clear explanations and simple language that even beginners can understand. Excellent manual showing most of the lab tests. Very useful.
