This LED fixture is an exact style replacement for the light we installed in our kitchen during a reno 14 years ago. The old fixture used 2 Circline fluorescent lamps, chewed up a lot of energy, and required replacement of the lamps every 18 months and a ballast replacement. Enough was enough! This fixture STYLE is moderately difficult to install because the flat surface extends way beyond the ceiling junction box where the wiring is connected. Strongly consider doing this with a helper, a lot of patience, and some care to avoid detaching any wires in the process. The new fixture itself is very, very bright. 3,750 lumens is the equivalent of almost 5, 60 watt incandescent bulbs at 800 lumens apiece, all in one small space. The color temperature is switch selectable on the fixture, which means you should decide before you button up the project. We chose the middle color temperature of 4,000 Kelvins, which might be equivalent to a "soft white". We found the other two settings to be either too amber or too harsh. Turning on the new light caused us to scurry around our kitchen with cleaning supplies! LED light behind a diffuser is very even, very probing, and will show up all the little spots and splatters that we could not see because the older Circlines had dimmed. We think that problem is now behind us. We plan to install a dimmer on this light (a Lutron Maestro to match the other dimmers in our kitchen) and give ourselves the option to cut back the lumens when appropriate. Overall, this is a great value. The maker decided to forego smart-stupid stuff like remote control of the color temperature and instead put their effort into a better LED driver module and better LEDs.

Lightweight and easy to install. It took about 5 minutes to change out 1 existing dome light that had 3 wires in the junction box. The temperature setting was easy to change. The 24" oval shape was perfect for a dark hallway.

I give this 4 stars because the 2 lights I bought didn’t come with any instructions on how to install. So it made installing the first light a pain. After figuring out the first installation, the 2nd light was a breeze to install, about 10 mins. There is a switch to choose the light temp you want. It’s low profile so it’s installs flush to the ceiling so there’s no worrying about dust or flies getting inside the housing. I’m really happy with the look and brightness of these lights.

I bought this and the 12" version for my main closet. We were looking for something contemporary but not over the top, and this design is perfect.The brightness is just right between the two. The construction feels solid but it's not too heavy. I use them with a motion detection switch and they work flawlessly.

Pros: Great value for a 4 pack: You’re getting a solid deal here for four large, modern-looking fixtures. The design is sleek and low-profile, and the dark bronze finish looks nice in most settings. Adjustable color temperature: I like the built-in switch to toggle between 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K—makes it flexible for different rooms and moods. Energy efficient and dimmable: No issues so far with flickering, and they work well with my LED-compatible dimmer switch. Definitely a plus for saving on the energy bill. Cons: Not the easiest to install: The mounting bracket design is a little awkward, and it took more time than expected to line up everything. If you're not used to electrical work, installation might be frustrating. Feels a bit flimsy: While they look good once mounted, the housing and lens cover feel thinner and less durable than expected. They’re fine for a finished basement or closet, but maybe not for high-traffic or higher-end areas. Plastic lens dulls the light slightly: The diffuser is a bit thick and seems to mute the brightness a little. You still get decent illumination, but it’s not quite as crisp as I was hoping. If you're on a budget and need simple, modern lighting, this is a good deal. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve during installation and slightly lower-end materials.
