I was a certified auto technician for 38 years, I've been a Valvoline believer for even longer, I used to open people's engines , for valve adjustment or other reasons, I would would say , " you must use Valvoline" they always were shocked and said how do you know that......it's that good, 100,000 miles, engine looks like new.I have never seen a oil related failure that Valvoline was involved.Every Valvoline product is above the rest.

Almost every Motor Oil certified by the American Petroleum Institute are great oils. Valvoline is no different. Valvoline has been in the game for a long time so therefore, we have used Valvoline in the past and it’s been great! I love the EASY POUR and the jug seems decently constructed. You can see the oil marks in the back of the jug. Overall, for $24 after taxes, pretty good considering the inflation we’re going through and that it’s an “Extended Protection”IMPORTANT AUTO LESSON: Despite the claims of extended protection amongst pricer motor oils, consumers need to realize that the most important thing about engine longevity is to change your engine oil every 5,000 miles. Automotive manufactures and oil companies can claim you can be safe from 7,500mi, 10,000mi or even perhaps 20,000mi between oil change intervals.That alone is a bogus claim since, where I live in Los Angeles, stop and go traffic is insane. So no matter what, regardless of a vehicle’s make or model, I religiously change the motor oil every 5,000mi. Better to be safe then sorry. This motor oil cost around $24 after tax. A cheap oil filter can run $4. Definitely worth it to change your oil because, an engine replacement can be $10,000 nowadays.
