Update: I contacted to the seller by email and they sent me a new product. This time works perfectly. Previous review: I recently needed to use the product for the first time, but unfortunately it does not work at all. The device does not power on or show any sign of operation. I tested it on four different computers, and it did not work on any of them. I also asked a friend who owns the same Zoweetek reader and has a working unit to help me test and troubleshoot it. Even with his assistance, we were unable to get the device I purchased to work. Based on these tests, it appears that the unit I received is defective.

Does Not Support DoD CAC
Read a few reviews thinking it was DoD CAC-compatible. It does not connect and is not compatible.

Worth Every Penny
Item shipped quickly. The cost was not crazy. It is extremely easy to use with any operating system whether it be windows OS or Mac. It has a simple USB-C input which makes it a modern design for those with newer laptops that are constantly mobile. There is not setup process, just plug in and your ID certificates should fall in place within seconds of accessing the restricted website/software. As for the durability I have been using it constantly for the last few weeks and nothing has been an issue thus far.

Don't waste your money
I received a defective product. The smartxard reader did not work when I received it. No light indication was present once I plugged up the smartcard reader to my laptop. Don't waste your time or money, such a disappointment
