Foam Magnet tiles
These are great for teaching fractions, not very big but they are magnetic and work well.

Saved me as I taught a 4th grader fractions
Due to COVID I turned into the grandma who taught fractions. I had carefully cut up paper and colored it to make the different fractions in pictures and it just wasn't ... sturdy and easy for her to manipulate. I found these on Amazon and bought them. They worked GREAT. She picked up the whole concept faster and easier. Especially when you can stack the 3 pieces that make up 1/3 of a circle on top of the 4 pieces that make up 1/4 of a circle. She could see the concept and the light bulb went on. I'd definitely say these were a huge help.

Perfect For 3rd Grader
These are made of flexible, foam board type material with magnets on the backside. They are sturdy enough if they're taken care of. I keep them on my 'fridge & use them to help my 3rd grader learn the concept of fractions. They helped SO MUCH! Fractions shouldn't be taught in 2-dimension, on a piece of paper; it's just too difficult for kids to grasp the concept. But having manipulatives like these for the child to divide themselves helps them wrap their brain around how fractions work. Just tell the child to imagine the circles are pies to divide & the tape bars are candy bars to divide amongst their friends equally & it just clicks for them. Great product.

Great set, but strong odor!
I purchased this set after finding a fraction game at Goodwill for 50 cents that required this set to play. We needed a manipulative for fractions anyway, and I liked that this had the pie pieces as well as the lines. I'm very pleased with the quality. The magnets are very strong, and it's a nice, thick foam. I knocked off one star for two reasons, 1. the smell upon opening the package was horrific! It was so strong that I had to set it out on the porch for a couple days to air out. Even after it seemed like the smell was gone, when I put the lid on the box and let it sit for 24 hours, as soon as I opened it I got knocked back with the smell again. 2. There are so many pieces, it would be nice if there was some kind of organized storage box they came in. I would have gladly paid extra money. Especially if you are using this set with a game, it's helpful to have them organized. Overall we are pleased with this set and would recommend it. Just be prepared to air out for a few days before using them!

Great Item
Great product! They are flimsy magnets, but as long as you take care of them they are great for teaching fractions. I bought my 1st grader these with a white board and she loves to play with them.

This item is used in the classroom. I wanted something that was vibrantly colorful as well as excellent in quality. I got both.

Great buy
got for my 9 year old now that I schools are closed. This is what helped him learn fractions. He even uses them just for pretend.
