Great light! Very bright! Solid build!
Got this a few years ago in 2021. It's been on my daily driver since then. Been great. Only had to change the battery 1 time this last week. Idk super great battery life.Regardless of the great stuff above, I don't know if they rate is as water proof or not but I went went fishing with a friend and our two boys. And the boys being boys decided to go for a swim. One started having issues the other tried to help and they both started drowning. I jumped in and grabbed them not even thinking about my boomstick. Did a quick shake and blow off of everything and even after getting it home and cleaning it well the light still works just as good as before!Ive smacked it into solid things before and it's got dings in the frame but it's still sturdy solid! Won't be buying any other light brands.

Best weapon light
The TLR-7 Sub delivers exceptional performance in a compact package specifically engineered for the P365 platform. The 500-lumen output provides excellent target identification while maintaining a profile that doesn't extend beyond the muzzle. The beam pattern offers good spread for close-range situations while maintaining enough throw for longer distances. The mounting system is precisely machined for the P365/XL rail, providing rock-solid attachment with zero wiggle or loosening under recoil. The controls are ambidextrous and easy to manipulate with either hand, though they're positioned to prevent accidental activation. Battery life is impressive, and the low-battery warning gives plenty of advance notice.Construction quality is outstanding - the aluminum housing and impact-resistant lens have proven durable through extensive use. The IPX7 waterproof rating isn't just marketing; this light handles inclement conditions without issue. The switch design provides both momentary and constant-on options with positive tactile feedback. One minor consideration is that the battery compartment requires removal for changes, though this is a reasonable trade-off for maintaining waterproof integrity. The price reflects the quality of materials and engineering, but it's justified by the reliability and performance. For P365/XL owners seeking a dedicated weapon light, this purpose-built solution is hard to beat.โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ

Better Than Competitors, But Could Use Improvement.
I've tried out a few different models of manufacturer's lights and, so far, the TLR-7 Sub (along with the TLR-7A), surpass the others in all but one area. For a single CR 123 battery, the brightness is excellent. It's only half the lumens of larger models and the competition (such as a Surefire X300U-A), but also uses half the batteries, so it's actually on-par.The ambidextrous buttons are easy to push, and very accessible for my weak-hand thumb in both an active and passive grip. The controls are also great: hold-press for however long you want the light on, or tap to stay on, plus optional double-tap of a button to activate the strobe. And the shorter length of it (compared to competitor's models) makes it much more ideal for carry options, as it doesn't protrude and stick into your body like others: much more compact. Even the added feature to deactivate the light with a quarter-turn of the front bezel is nice to have at times. And the price tag seems to be at least on-par, if not better, than a lot of competition, especially for the quality. Above all, the ability to change out the battery from the front, rather than the rear on competitor's models, makes it much easier, since you don't have to remove the light every single time. The one detraction I see with it is that, when you mount it, you can't just clip it onto the picatinny rail, but have to slide it on and then screw it down, making it a bit more laborious than others, and requiring tools. Moreover, the screw on here has an arc to its depth, so it doesn't work well with a screw driver, and you need to have a thicker coin on you, like a nickel or quarter. And, the problem with those -- besides the fact that you may not have cash on you to do that, and shouldn't have to -- is that the coins don't even fit perfectly, so the insert on the screw starts getting marred and worn away. As such, if you swap this out between pistols very often, that screw will most likely eventually become unusable. IMHO, this would've been much better as a mount for a picatinny rail that comes on most modern pistols or, at the very least, a mounting screw that has a flat indentation, rather than an arced one, so that it works with screw drivers.Overall, though, as I mentioned, it's better than most of the competition, IMHO, and is an excellent choice.

Super Quality Light for Sig P365XL
Light just oozes quality. The 500 lumens is absolutely plenty for a small CCW weapon. If you are shooting further than say 25+ yards it may not be the best option but who does that with a CCW anyway.Pluses:Battery can be changed without removing light from gunQuality Build2 different options for where switch is pressedConstant, Momentary, Strobe(read instructions for strobe)Plenty bright enough for CCWFits my P365XL like a glove and looks to be made for the gunStreamlight name is known in the light field as a great lightWarrantyLightweight/Compact (I cant feel a difference at all in weight with or without mountedLooks really good on SigConsHave to buy batteriesHave to change batteriesHave to buy a specific holster for the TLR 7 Sub (I have seen plenty of choices)Get it if you want a light. Much cheaper than the Surefire which is a good light as well, but similar quality.
