Poppit S1 Shopkins Ballet Collection

Oh my, where to begin with this set?! This was on my 8 year old, Shopkin-crazy's Christmas wish list. I paid about $6 for the set on Amazon, on sale. She was so excited when she unwrapped them on Christmas morning, she and her 9 year old step sister wanted to get started right away. I told them it was Ok to put the poppit dough in the provided "air-tight" containers. We didn't get around to actually playing with it until 2 days later, and the dough was already too dry to do anything with, and any tiny dirt particle that was on their hands made the dough a yucky dirty color. The instructions said to add a few drops of water, and knead if it dries out to give it new life. This didn't work at all. It was like trying to mold marshmallows. We tried other materials like play-dough and plasticine. The plasticine wouldn't release easily without destroying the shape and details of the moulds. The Play-dough actually worked great, so that's one of the upsides of the set, plus Play-dough is a cheaper alternative than Poppit dough refills. We managed to make a dozen or so custom shopkins before giving up. I'm sure we'll use the set again with Play-dough, but the Poppit dough will just be tossed.

Bought for my 12 year old and we couldn't seem to figure out how to get the characters to pop out. We looked at the directions and it didn't make a difference. Nothing worked the way the directions showed it would. It was not what I was expecting so I was disappointed but if you have seen it or used it before and know how these poppits work then you would probably like it. The pieces looked like that would be cute but ours came out looking like a mess. I would not buy these again and my 12 year old has no interest in trying them again but like I said before, I think the shopkins are really cute if you know what to expect.

Great item! I like the molds. The poppit clay is not good enough, full of crumbs, but i used another foamy dough, and the results with the molds and accesorries are great! Please poppit make changes on your dough! Another thing, is that most of the times i didn't need to use the poppit, but it's ok for me, i think that it's more faster to do without using it. The only complaint is that i want to get more eyes, and i didnt know how to get them.

There are tons of little accessories for making a number of different shopkins, and the popping action is pretty fun.However, once you've made the shopkins, you let them dry in order to have "permanent" custom shopkins to play with.The little accessories are tiny and very easy to misplace, and you run out materials pretty fast when it comes to the "dough" itself. Also, getting the shopkins wet after they've dried will pretty much destroy them.Fun while they last.

My 7 yr old daughter and I were very eager to try this, however it was hard to work with the "clay". It was hard to form in the molds, was too dry and the finished product was cracked looking and not the shape we were hoping for. Every color clay was like this.Very cute concept, wished it worked better. My daughter is very particular of her artwork, but was sad to see how came out.

Just like play dough...it is impossible to make things look like they do on the box...my 5 year old and 7 year old were both frustrated, but they continued to try to make things with it. Some of the molds did not close making it impossible to pop them out, one of the clay colors was dried out before we opened the packaging...

This is a great concept that I really wanted to love, but the building material/clay is just not the best for this product. My girls aged 4 and 6 were so excited to make their own shopkins on Christmas day, but after trying to make 2 each, they gave up and moved onto something else. The popper didn't actually "pop" at all, and actually just deflated in our hand when we tried to pop it. The clay included was much to dry to form into anything. When put in the mold, it didn't form or stick together well at all and when you pulled off pieces of the clay to form, it just was chunks and didn't even form into a ball when rolled etc. We ended up using the molds to play playdough with and that worked well, just not as cute as the actual colors they wanted for their shopkins. I think if there was something better to form the designs out of it would work better.

Cute product and is easy to use. The Shopkins will not come out perfect or look like they do on the box so if you are expecting that you will be disappointed.This set comes with clay, containers to store the clay, and little accessories like eyes and tiny gems to add to your Shopkin. The clay will dry so they need to be stored and sealed in the containers. My daughter and I had fun making them and she loves this Poppit set. Yes, I do recommend this item.

Le principe est sympa, mais le kit est livré avec de la pâte Poppit périmée et inutilisable!La pâte est sèche dans les sachets pourtant scellés, impossible à couper et non malléable (style très vieux chewing-gum), même après humidification.Je suis donc allé chez Cultura et ai acheté de la pâte à modeler auto-durcissante de couleur blanche, et ma fille peux enfin créer des modèles facilement et les peindres après durcissement.

La pâte est Un peu dure à travailler et le soufflet ne marche pas toujoursOn a fini par utiliser de la patarev à la place

Los moldes y accesorios tb pero la pasta es un poco mala, no se moldea bien. De todas formas a mi hija le ha gustado mucjo
