New Balance KV990 Hook-and-Loop Running Shoe (Toddler/Little Kid)

The perfect shoe - we're on our fourth pair and I'm bummed that the next size up isn't in stock! My son has XW feet, and these fit like a dream. He runs and plays hard all day at daycare and these shoes have stood up to his play. We've even washed them (he stepped in dog poo) and put thru the dryer and they have held their size and shape - no shrinkage. Others have commented that the strap is too short - we have never experienced this. The velcro on all pairs has heald up perfectly until he has outgrown each size. I highly recommend and will buy again.

My son doesn't have wide or chubby feet and I can't get the velcro tab to touch the other side of the Velcro to fasten the shoe. (doesn't come close at all....) I have returned them twice and the problem/defectiveness remains the same. It's a great looking shoe and the size was perfect but impossible for him to wear. Disappointing.

I really wanted to love these sneakers for my Toddler. However, the flap to strap sneaker is way too short. It does not come across width of sneaker. I hate to say it, but it was a complete waste of my money.

They are durable and look so cute on my boy, but the velcro is too short. They won't work for wide feet. I wish I could keep them but I have to return them.

We looked at a zillion shoes for our daughter who can only wear shoes that are "primarily" white, grey or black for her PE days. I have never purchased New Balance shoes before, so I was a little worried about what to expect. Based on the reviews I ordered a full size up and they are a tad large on her foot, but not so much so that I would send them back. I have no clue if she has a wide foot or not, but getting the strap around the first couple of times took some work for her (she is 5 years old). I panicked at first thinking we were going to have to send them back, but just working the strap around a bit has seemed to fix the problem. She can now easily get them off and on, and knows to give a good tug if the strap isn't quite reaching the other end. We ordered the grey and pink shoe for her. It is absolutely perfect for what we need it for. Not obnoxious at all, but still just enough of a pop of color that she wasn't disgusted by god forbid a GREY shoe. Happy with this shoe. I will update should we come across any problems.

Really good shoe--we're on our third pair for a four-year old. It holds up well, fits well, and gives good support.

My son has worn this shoe for two years... sizes 1-1/2, 2, 2-1/2. We just returned a pair of size 3. The Velcro straps were one inch shorter than the size 2-1/2 he is now wearing. Needless to say you can't fasten the shoe. Quality control? Redesign? I guess we will go to a brick and mortar shoe store next time.

The length was great but the strap was just way to short/tight. My son has average feet, not even wide. Returned these.
