Love this product!!
Where has this been all my life? Leaves my hair long hair-dyed hair feeling healthy, soft, and straight. Not dry and damaged like the expensive flat iron. The comb works great. You can touch the plates when its hot, wont burn, but when you're doing the scalp section, you may feel the hot steam so be careful . Leaves my hair NON-staticky, unlike the $49 Tymo version. The peachy pink with rose gold trim looks so elegant, I love using it. Takes my thick, long, naturally crimpy hair about 15 min. Okay to use at 310 or 370, but whatever works for you. The cord long enough and thick. Feels slightly heavy because it’s good quality. I also tried buying the cheap knock off from TJ Max for $25, and returned it (Comb was tangly, cord was thin, and too lightweight.) This ionic is worth the money. I also got my sister to buy this as well. You’re welcome Tymo. Trying to spread the word.

My hair was so soft and straighter than I expected.
The media could not be loaded. I love this device. I wear my natural hair in a puff bun or twists out, or crochet extensions. Sometimes I want to play with straight hair or having my a little more manageable, so I bought both the plus devices, comb and brush, to test which one I preferred since I’m not going for silk press results. On wash day, I blowed dried my dripping wet, heat protected hair 4C hair, then got to straightening. I took it slow by choice at 330°, and over-applied an oil-based heat protectant. The buttons are in a place where I accidentally hit them multiple times, so it went up to 350° at some point. Also, the auto-off happens too quickly, probably 30-45 mins. I had to turn it on multiple times.I loved the results, and I was already texting family how well it worked and how soft my hair was after the first row. I wrapped my hair and slept, and bumped the ends the next morning with my flat iron (I haven’t mastered it with this device), but as soon as I walked outside at 8am, the Texas heat and humidity caused it to poof. It was still manageable and cute, so I wasn’t too disappointed.Later that day, I tried it on 410° with the Cantu thermal protector (can’t remember the name). My hair looked silkier, and it still felt just as soft, but it was more flowy than before. It only took about 30 mins to do my whole head.I also straightened my biracial nieces wavy (not at all curly) hair on 310°. I don’t have pics. With the oil-based heat protectant, her hair looked silky and polished, but kinda wet. I switched to Cantu for the other half of her head, and it was straight, but not as silky. I very, very lightly applied some of the oil-based heat protectant to the top quadrant of her head and finished up. A couple hours later, the oil-based half of her hair was still silky and straight, while the mixed half had fly aways, and was not as straight at the ends. It didn’t look like she had her hair straightened with heat, it looked more like naturally straight hair.Hopefully, the pics display in order. 1) Twist out in a gray tee. 2) blow dried to stretch in pink top, 3) video of final 330/350°, 4) 10 mins outside in the hot, wet, Texas heat, 5) at 410°.

Mixed Feelings
I have mixed feelings regarding this product. I’ll state the pros first. On one hand, it’s very easy to use. I have combination 4A-4B hair, a soft and relatively “loose” curl when wet and slightly more curly when dry. This device straightens my hair in roughly 10 minutes, compared to the 30-odd minutes it takes with my Chi flat iron. It heats up fast and makes an interesting sound when you run your hair through it; it kind of makes you humorously think “I know this is working”.Breakage: I have not noticed any. I have read reviews stating that you must use the straightening brush at a precise downward angle or your hair will rip. I did not have this experience, but I will say - you MUST blow your hair completely dry before you use this product. You cannot and should not apply a hot comb/brush to wet hair or dry Afro-texture hair without properly blowing the hair straight beforehand. Heat protectant should be used, always. If you apply heat to your hair often, especially if you are untrained in maintaining hair health, breakage is an unfortunate result. I would not use this brush daily.Cons: I don’t feel temperature control is sufficient and diverse for various hair textures and patterns. This product goes up to 410 degrees Fahrenheit, which works okay for me but might not fully straighten my sister’s 4C hair, for example. You cannot increase/decrease heat in increments, so a safe temperature might not be hot enough to press your hair, while a higher temperature might be unsafe for your hair, with nothing in between. I disagree that it allows you to flatten roots better than a traditional flat iron or hot comb. Both times I’ve used this product, I’ve ultimately reverted to using my Chi to go over ends and roots again, which will inevitably cause heat damage. This makes the product feel like another fancy hair fad that isn’t actually practical or time-saving.Overall, I think it’s an interesting tool and it’s fun to use. I will need to learn the product more and assess it further, but this is my review for now. I struggled with the decision to purchase this, so I wanted to leave a thoughtful review for any fellow users who need to thoroughly research an item before spending money on it.

Amazing straightener
I had a similar straightener from a different brand that stopped working and bought this was a replacement and this one is way better than my old one. It straightens the hair super quickly and leave the hair extremely smooth! It gets super close to the roots without burning your scalp. I can even make curls with it. Pretty amazing and super worth it!

LIFE CHANGING !!!
I have thick wavy, frizzy hair and bad hands , arthritis, carpal tunnel etc it's very hard for me to do my hair myself BUT this has saved me, works amazing ,gets right the root and lightweight and easy to maneuver , only downside I see so far after shutting and unplugging it tends to take a long time to cool so be very careful where you keep it ..
