Will not work on all types of glass.
It's important to note that Armour Etch will not work on all types of glass. It should work fine for most soda lime glass, but will not work on all types of borosilicate glass (pyrex). I've never actually got it to work on borosilicate, but supposedly it may work on some formulas, so keep this in mind if you intend to use it for kitchenware or temperature resistant pieces. It should work well on regular soda lime glass, but may not work if the glass contains certain minerals (colored glass). It should work on tempered glass, like table tops, and I've used it on auto windows. The ingredients in Armour Etch work by generating hydrofluoric acid. The corrosiveness of HF is not its only hazard, hydrofluoric acid is also poisonous, and even minute amounts can cause a heart attack. The risk of acid burns is minimal, as we're dealing with small doses in a viscous form, but the poisonous nature remains, and you should avoid skin contact- "once absorbed in the blood HF reacts with Ca2+ ions to form insoluble calcium fluoride, this cause a steep decrease in serum calcium level". I don't mean to overstate the danger, as it's a very safe product when handled with respect. Take the time to wear gloves, glasses, and other appropriate PPE, and store it in a safe place away from curious hands.

Great product
Great product. Use a stencil then apply the cream and wait for 3 minutes and rinse off with cool water. Much easier, cheaper and faster than taking the item to be laser etched.

Worked great
I used this to remove anti glare coating on my RX glasses . They are plastic lenses . It worked great but use gloves and be very careful to not get it on any surfaces! It smudged the finish on my white kitchen cabinet is dripped on and left a mark on my stainless sink . User error .

Great, easy to use etching cream
I love this etching cream! I’d used it years ago, and just recently started making Christmas gifts using a stencil and this etching cream on glassware. It’s also great for freehand lettering to monogram glassware. After painting it on it works within minutes. I just rinse out my brush, and rinse the glass in water. Now the test glasses I bought at the dollar store look great.

Glass Etching
This worked great but I left on too long and broke one wine glass. LOL
