Double Vision Quilts: Simply Layer Shapes & Color for Richly Complex Curved Designs

It's a good book with lots of opportunity for color creativity. A design wall and color wheel would help with your own color/.design layout. But color layout is provided if you want something similar to the pictured quilts. I did have a problem with the whole "Hugs" and "Kisses" terminology, it's grating, very grating, like glass in a wound. Maybe it's just me or maybe I feel it ruined what is a pretty good art book. Artists are not taken seriously and this just doesn't help.

I ordered this book "blind" because I love Ms Smith's work. At first glance I thought the method was cut and paste, and why did I buy this book. Upon closer inspection, the quilts are quite beautiful and not as easy as they may appear. I am working on my first project from this book and future ones are rolling around in my head. The photos are lovely and the directions are clear. Easy enough for a beginner yet intriguing enough for the advanced quilter

This is a very striking book with lots of ideas and instruction to design and make multi-layer quilts. I am glad I added it to my quilt and design library.

As another reviewer mentioned - the use of the word “hugs” instead of circles and “kisses” instead of cornerstones is horribly distracting and it’s driving me CRAZY!! Having said that - the book has some interesting techniques and I don’t regret buying it.

People around me consider me an experienced seamstress and quilter There really wasn't much here for me I believe there is something to be learned from all educational work and everything else I would recommend this for the beginning quilter

I love this book. I am a serious quilter and so love a good challenge which this book offers. It is beautifully illustrated.

Love circles and bright colors so these quilts are especially appealing to me. Have not made a quilt from the book yet but the directions appear to be clear and offer options. The book is eye catching and a good addition to my library.

I have other books by Louisa Smith & have taken classes with her. She never disappoints.

Rather disappointing, the content doesn’t reflect the cover picture. Everything is too busy for me and I found it quite confusing.

Terrific to have this DOUBLE VISION Quilts Kindle edition to take with me on vacation - beautiful projects and great instructions.

Love all the artsy ideas, and a great way to use up scraps to.
