Monsters University [Blu-ray 3D + 2D] [Region Free] [UK Import] [3D Blu-ray]

My son loves this move even though it is not a new release. He begged me to order it so he can watch it during spring break and it finally arrived yesterday only to find that it does not work in our machine. The description states that this product is "region free" but if so, why does it not work in my blue ray player? I am returning this movie today. My son is super disappointed..

If you are into 3d, you'll find this movie in the 3d version quite enjoyable. 3d seems to give the animated characters personality and realism that is missing on the 2d version. The sound track is well done. Voices and other object based sounds are clear, precisely placed, and in sync. The story is a lesson in reality, namely, not all things are achievable no matter how much you want them, and you must learn and accept your limitations to achieve happiness.

This is not meant to be used with a United States DVD player.

I know a lot of people had been saying the DVD or blu ray versions weren't working on their U.S. players, but with the 3D/Blu Ray combo that I received, both disks played in my PS3 just fine. I don't see any markings anywhere for region 2 or anything else.

US and Canada: this dvd does not work on region 1 players.

Was a little disappointed in this movie. To me it wasn't as funny as the first one man Monsters Inc and I enjoyed that one very much this one was kind of a disappointment it was entertaining but much more immature than the other meaning for younger generation. The movie was good it had its good points just not enough adult humor, no I don't mean sex.

The 3 D quality is very good and the story line will entertain anyone who has had a post high school education.

Cute movie my 3 year old son loves the 1st one and so this was a nice change of paste!

Having just recently re-watched Monsters Inc and loving it I decided that watching the sequel was a must (despite some trepidation that it might not live up to the standards set by the original). This film is set as a prequel and follows the stories of Sulley and Mike during their youthful years as they try to achieve their ultimate dream of getting into the scare game. The story in this film works well as a prequel and didn't feel like this was a film that was going to be released to make money no matter the quality. Once again this is a Disney Pixar film that looks simply stunning and manages to deliver on that feel that Pixar films always seem to manage to have. Whenever I am going to see a prequel or sequel I do worry about the quality of them but I must say I really did enjoy this film a lot and know it is one I will watch again soon.

Not great. I don’t really like the college bullying/frat house thing anyway and it didn’t seem the right set up for a children’s film. The story lacked warmth and went on for too long with the same energy throughout. The whole film is Mike and Sully trying to prove they are scary. That’s it. It works on one level. I found myself getting board and checking my phone several times. There were no stand out moments, lines or characters in this for me and I will probably forget the film pretty quickly. Well animated though.

Monsters (3) Bankruptcy. Sully "Well my student debt is $400,000 & thw court ruled either jail or bankruptcy for 6 &%#$ing years". Mike "My loan shark is outside with a Remington 870 sawn off shotgun I gotta use the fire escape". Sully "Oh &%$# we got an eviction notice!!"

I cant beleive this film was under a fiver! This is Pixars best film to date in my opnion, the near life like visuals are STUNNING. The story is great and The Pixar short: The Blue Umbrella is simply awesome. I know its for kids, but adults like me can enjoy it also.

The description of the storyline makes this look to be a good film so I bought it as a Christmas Present for someone who collects films on DVD - Blu-Ray & 3D formats.
