Pepper thr parrot approves
These pellets are fabulous and the ingredient list is decent. My vet recommended them and I am happy he did. The value is good for the money spent. My bird likes the flavor and texture of these.

Trix for birds
My African Grey loves this food. It’s the perfect size for her feet to hold. She doesn’t like some shapes/colors and will leave those until there is no other shape/color option. I usually dump the ones she hates and refill it so she doesn’t have to eat them. I’m guessing it’s all one flavor and by the way the bag smells it’s delicious. My grey is a plucker so I can’t speak to how it is for feather sheen. Overall, she loves this food so much I can’t see switching it anytime soon.

Bird happy
I have been purchasing this parrot food for years, My blue cheek amazon and African grey like it a lot. It fruty and it does have its vitamins. Don't worry if your parrot doesn't eat it right away. My blue cheek Amazon was only used to seeds. It took me about 2 weeks of patience and he finally came through. now the seeds are only given as treats and this parrot food is what they munch on along with fresh fruits or veggies.

Overpriced.
Yet I keep feeding it to my 11 yo cockatoo Woodstock Archamedes Wagstaff ..aka "Woody, Birdbrain, Woodbrain, Birdzilla, Woodzilla, Destructo Chicken and SHUT THE HELL UP!!"Because I know as a long time bird owner, moderate avian "expert" (25 year vet tech with a lot of emphasis on birds as a hobby) and holder of a certificate outside of formal education as a vet tech, (animal nutrition/Registered Lab Animal Technologist) that PELLETED FOOD is always the way to go..that way the birdbrains canNOT pick out the high fat content oil seeds that taste better than the stuff that the animal NEEDS to maintain a healthy immune system...(not to mention radiant plumage...oil seed fed birds are unhealthy looking on skin..its flakey...and feathers look like the bird just came out of the dryer..while white casings cover the feathers.)Bird people of amazon and the world: HEAD MY WARNINGS...SEED DIETS RUIN BIRD HEALTH..AND BIRDS ARE DESIGNED BY NATURE TO SHOW NO SIGNS OF ILL HEALTH UNTIL ITS TOO LATE....THIS WAY THEY WONT BE PICKED OFF OUT OF THE FLOCK BY PREDATORS OR HEALTHIER STRONGER BIRDS FIGHTING FOR MATING PRIVILEGES WITH FEMALES IN THE WILD. By the time clients would come into our ER with sickly or dying birds..IT WAS TOO LATE!! Protect your birds health!!! Feed well, always try and offer even if they reject repeatedly HEALTHY fresh food, change water am/pm and take at least every 12 months if not every 6 mos for check ups that should include no less than routine blood work and fecal tests to rule out and DETECT EARLY parasites and illnesses! I buy this stuff along with all other formulas in same size bag (the fruit, the nut and the veggie blend) and mix in a huge apothecary jar I keep on my kitchen counter..the smell is amazing...the taste and colors appeal to my horrible brat. Dont overfeed...if you have a bird like my holy terror Woody..who looks at it and when bored and wants attention, chooses his LEAST favorite flavor/color..which changes daily/weekly) and TOSSES it out of the cage to watch my min pin dogs gobble it up or worse yet, to the bottom of the floor..consider these two things...1.) only put enough food in two times a day to cover the BOTTOM of the bowl...if he throws it out...DONT immediately refill..this stuff is expensive..instead..allow the bird to forage...my cockatoo amuses himself and does in his cage what he would do in the wild...hmmm.....im hungry...yet my bowl is empty and no one is around....I shall go hunt for food...hey LOOK!! This one I can reach on the bottom of the cage through the grate and DOESNT have poop on it!!! keep safe shavings and fecal matter will stick to it and the grate and not food. We spend a LOT of money on foraging toys but few of us actually force the issue of natural foraging. 2.) If your brat likes to throw this food out of the cage JUST to feed it to your dogs and literally LAUGH at them while doing it...take the bowl away until a later time...heavy free choice feeding in expensive pelleted diets can make a well meaning pet owner go broke!! KEEP IN MIND THAT IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA THAT THIS ONLY WORKS WHERE THERE IS LITTLE TO NO POSSIBILITY OF ALL OR MOST OF FOOD BEING COVERED IN FECAL MATTER. IT WILL NOT HURT YOUR BIRD IF HE/SHE ACCIDENTALLY INGESTS TINY PORTIONS ROUTINELY..IT IS ONLY WHEN ITS A HEAVY THREAT OF BACTERIAL OVERLOAD THAT YOU WILL RUN INTO HEALTH ISSUES...IN OTHER WORDS..IF YOU KEEP YOUR BIRD IN FILTH (DONT KEEP A BIRD IN FILTH FOR GODS SAKE..REHOME IT IF YOUR TOO LAZY TO KEEP HIM/HER CLEAN!!!)DONT ALLOW FOR NATURAL FORAGING..BUT IF YOUR A DUTIFUL BIRD OWNER....THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WILL HELP BOTH OF YOU DO.(damn bird.)
