5 star product with 1 star instructions UPDATE 4/2016: updated instruction video *much* better
UPDATED 4/25/2016 - there is an installation video up on the highwayholster.com site that is much, much more detailed and does a good job of illustrating the entire installation process, so I'm raising my rating from 3 to 5 stars. My original review follows but you can ignore much of my whining about the lousy instructions. You'll need to watch the video a few times as the presenter has obviously done this trick before and he's pretty fast, but it's really helpful.** original review follows **(At this writing the listing is showing the "4 count" Amazon graphic. You only get one of these; I dunno what that's about.)I installed this in a 2011 Mercedes E class and am happy with it now, but installation was frustrating and confusing. So much so that I abandoned the installation twice and each time nearly returned the product as un-usable. I finally succeeded but only after using many words my dear sainted Mother would have washed my mouth out with soap for having used.First off, reading the included instructions/visual diagram has some value, but just as an intro. Unfortunately, the diagram's orientation is pretty much the mirror opposite of where you're likely to be while trying to follow the instructions. Consider these skimpy materials to be hints rather than actual instructions. Don't even try to make sense of the parts list at this point.Worse, there's a YouTube how-to video out there that runs 1:29 and makes it look easy. I watched it over and over and over again, sitting in the car and trying to do what it said to do. Eventually I learned that what it describes as the first step is actually the third step...or maybe the fourth step. The narrator gives you a hint that at least something has already been done by telling you that a velcro strip has already been installed in the target vehicle - so how and where and why to install the (never-shown) velcro strip is just ignored. If you go to the seller's website, you'll find a longer (3:18) video that begins to clarify what you've seen on the skimpy printed instructions and the shorter video. Maybe installation wouldn't have been such a chore if I had started here, but it still took several reviews with plenty of pause/rewind/replay until I got to the "aha!" moment when I finally understood where all this was going. I can't say that this video is all you need, but it did help pull together the snippets of incomplete info supplied by the printed documentation and the shorter video.Yes, I did get it installed and yes, it performs as advertised. I added a size 14 holster from the same company for my S&W M&P Shield 9MM and it fits like a glove.I'm glad I bought both products, but there's no reason for this to have been so difficult. I think all the love went into the product and there was no love left over for implementation instructions.

Love that you dont have to drill/modify your vehicle with this!!!!
This is my first ever amazon review. I feel compelled to leave this review because this product and the company are top notch!!!! What I love most about this product is that you don't have to drill/modify your vehicle at all!!!! No one likes doing that right? It puts the firearm right where I like it, right next to your leg/knee. It moves with the seat if you have to adjust the seat forward or backward. Also, I would like to leave my compliments to the owner of the company. I get the impression that Ryden Enterprises LLC is a small start up company and this is another reason I am leaving this review. After I received the mount and installed it, I had issues with my holster mounting correctly to it (not the mounts problem, was my holster). I called the company to see if they had possible solutions/ideas. The gentleman I spoke too could not have been any more awesome. He was considerate and asked how I liked the mount and then genuinely wanted to know if I had ideas of how to make it better. Honestly it made me want to work for this company!!! He went above and beyond and solved my issue. I couldn't be more pleased with the customer service. Keep it up Ryden!!!

It works, but it's a PITA to install
UPDATE: I bumped the overall rating by a star due to the customer service of this seller. I moderately cracked the horizontal arm when testing my installation. Even though it was my fault, I reached out to them to see if they would provide a replacement horizontal arm. I received a replacement within a week - free of charge.I'll preface this review by saying that if you're the only driver of your vehicle this product may be more suitable for you and you rarely adjust your seat. Installation was done on the driver's side seat of a 2018 Toyota Highlander XLE. Trying to install it to accommodate drivers of different heights (6'3" & 5'7") was a challenge. I ended up slightly breaking the horizontal arm at the point where you adjust the length while testing the installation (moving the seat back and forth). The problem I had was with the vertical arm that's supposed to rest on the floorboard, support re-holstering, and prevent the holster from slipping downward. The vertical arm would catch on the all-season floor mat and front right post that secures the seat to the floorboard of the vehicle when adjusting seat travel. So, I abandoned the use of the vertical arm where it rests on the floorboard, repositioning it to its shortest length, and secured it to the side of the seat as best I could with the two bungee cords provided. This works. It's not ideal, but it works. I may replace the bungee cords with zip ties eventually.Rather than go to the extra expense of purchasing a left handed IWB holster (or the optional holster from the vendor), I combined the mounting plates of AlienGear's Shape Shift paddle holster and desk mount holster to secure it to this vehicle mount by sandwiching the mounts together with four screws. The AlienGear mounts are wider than the vehicle mount (intended for an IWB clip), so only one side of the AlienGear mounts fit inside the vehicle mount. It appears to be strongly affixed, with no play (see pic). Time will tell.A major con is trying to figure out how to securely install this mount. It took me more time than I would've liked to find a suitable connection. Another con (albeit a minor one) is the length of the horizontal arm. In my case, it is extended to the last position in order to clear the end of the seat enough to prevent the butt of the firearm (Springfield XD Mod 2 Service Model) from resting on the seat. The pro is that you don't have to drill holes in the console to install this vehicle mount. This was the main reason why I purchased this vehicle mount in the first place.Would I purchase this mount again? Maybe, now that I know how to securely install it to my vehicle. I'll continue to look for better alternatives though.UPDATE: I re-read the assembly and installation guide, and scrutinized the drawings on how the vertical arm is secured. Save yourself the frustration and pay attention to the drawing where the vertical arm is strapped to the front right post. I re-positioned/extended the vertical arm and secured it to the post as close to the floorboard as possible, giving it the ability to pivot with seat adjustments.

Great idea, but flawed design
I was looking for a holster mount that doesn’t require me drilling into my truck or work van.I bought this hoping that it would be the right tool.I love this thing, I love how close my Glock is to my leg, and how easy it is to keep it concealed. The only problem I have is that the end piece that a holster clips onto is over 2” and almost every holster is made for a belt 2” or smaller. I’ve tried a few different holsters but nothing actually clips around the end piece. Because of this, drawing the freedom seed dispenser requires one hand to hold the holster and one to draw.
