Great binoculars for bird watching or just simply trying to see something more close-up! Hubby bought for e this past Christmas and I love them! They are waterproof and come with a great case that you can strap on and keep in the front of you…very convenient! Great value for the money and the focusing capabilities are very clear! Would highly recommend to anyone …especially bird watchers!!

For the $163 paid..could not ask for more..
Application: Birding - Eagles, Osprey, Blue Herons etc.Does what it is supposed to do without any obvious flaws..Clear...Sharp...Great Contrast..smooth focus.Given lack of reviews, bought on the basis of Leupold scope reputation, and design - specifically Calcium Flourite lensesI remember when these cost thousands for my Pentax SLRs. And as hoped, with them, no Chromatic Aberration apparent at all. And great sharpness and contrast. While I can't compare to Vortex or Nikon competitors, I can compare to two lower cost pairs, a Hontry $47 bought for Grandson, and Celestron Outland X, $63, for Daughter. Both are perfectly serviceable for casual viewing, but the BX-1 blows them away on contrast and sharpness. And while perhaps surprisingly the Hontry does not exhibit CA, the Outland definitely does - annoyingly. No apparent Chinese QC problems, either. Smooth focus, diopter wheel, eyecups.Chinese manufacture really put me off initially, and I seriously considered the Japanese BX-4. But the added expense to me isn't justified. Went with the BX-1. Very happy I did.
