Got this as a birthday present for my nine-year-old daughter because she liked the Kung Pow Chicken books. She immediately stopped opening her presents and read it straight thru. A quick read, but she definitely loved it. (She received a lot of books and wasn't interested in most of them.) The label says it's good for reluctant readers, and I would say that this would be worth a shot--lots of pictures with the text.

SO, so cute for beginning readers -- and also short enough to read at bedtime . . . depending on how long bedtime takes! Funny, and makes me thankful my kids only wanted cats and dogs!

A fun, full-color illustrated easy-to-read chapter book with a great positive ending that you might not see coming. I'm looking forward to putting this in my classroom library.

My kids were already a fan of her chicken books and this hit the mark for humor and kid-friendliness.

This Little Piggy is so cute! The story is engaging and accessible, and the illustrations are adorable. Now everybody in my house wants a pig. sigh
