MOFILY Yocam Waterproof Life Camera

I rarely ever give a negative review, but I am for this camera. Ever time it turns on it switches mode. Never know what video setting it is recording in. I need it to stay in wide angle but it switches the next time I turn it on. Since I using it on the fly in the water I can't use the phone app. I need to the camera to either show this or stay in the preset setting. I gave up using Yocam.

The quality of the photos taken by this camera is quite amazing, considering that the camera is small and is priced affordably. Photos are panoramic in format and the colors are captured vividly. Underwater photos and videos are very good as well. I used this camera more than my mobile phone camera during one trip. The lack of a viewfinder on the camera is a small disadvantage but not a deal breaker considering that you can take several shots, and just choose which to keep after. However, since photo quality is good, I noticed that I tend to keep most photos anyway. I highly recommend this product.

I use this for bicycle trips, as a "dashcam". While not stealth at all, it has great image quality, enough battery to save my trip to/from the office (70mins total) and is waterproof so I can still record in heavy rain. So far, I like it very much. Issues: Video settings (e.g. stabilizer or resolution) adjusted via wifi app are not used when the camera is operated without the app , and sometimes the video is in portrait mode even if the camera was in landscape orientation when recording.

I absolutely love my YoCam, it's the best camera I've ever owned. I recently took it on vacation with me and it performed fantastically well underwater, I was able to document my entire scuba driving expedition. I loved that it didn't need any additional housing/casing in order to be used underwater. The Mofily app is very easy to use and I love turning my photos into stories. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase, 5/5

I purchased my YoCam to document my semester abroad in Europe and I absolutely love it! I wanted a very small and lightweight camera, to fit in my carry-on luggage, and that's exactly what I got. It's so unbelievably compact that I can just keep it in my pocket while traveling around during the day. I've brought my YoCam to multiple music festivals since I've been in Europe and have been able to capture great footage!

Simply put, YoCam is the best small action camera on the market right now! I've been a GoPro fan for many years but their prices for both cameras and accessories just keep increasing, so I saw YoCam as an affordable alternative and boy does it pack a punch! The YoCam's quality is unbelievable and I love that it's waterproof without any additional housing. I bought the small adapter from YoCam's website (it's only around $10) and now my YoCam is compatible with all the GoPro accessories I already own. Very happy I gave YoCam a try!

I thought about getting a YoCam when it was initially on Indiegogo but I held off, however once I saw it was on Amazon I jumped at the opportunity! So far the camera has been great, I've brought it on a couple of hikes with my family and I and have been able to grab some great shots! However, mostly I've just been using the YoCam as a baby monitor for my newborn, as it's far cheaper than most video baby monitors I've seen online.

Please don't use the mounts that come with this camera. I backed Yocam last year. I work at an inner city school. We don't get a lot of time off or money so when I buy something electronic I do the research. For the price my Yocam did what it said it would. I was happy with it.This Easter I took it with me on a short vacation my wife had budgeted for. I attached the Yocam with the mount to a boogie board and hit the surf excited about getting some fun footage.  After three waves I looked down and my heart sunk. The camera was gone. The first thing I thought was user error, that I had attached it wrong. But when I looked at the board it was the mount that had broke, half was on the board and half at the bottom of New Smyrna Beach. I hadn't hit the bottom or my body with the camera so a few waves broke the mount. Now instead of feeling excited I just get depressed when I  hear the word Yocam.  Don't be like me and loose a $200.00 camera using a $2.00 mount. Use something that doesn't come with the camera.

There are no updates for this thing. Support is nonexistent. Image stabilisation and quality is poor.

・目的はライフログと街歩きの記録。カメラ嫌いの老親の日常を残しておく。・よくあるアクションカメラは装着スタイルが大げさで、街なかでは奇妙に見えそうなので、これを選択。しかし、人間ドラレコのようだと笑われる。選択候補のCHINON PC-1、はサンプル画質がトイカメラ風だったので却下。・初期値で使っている。（スマホ不所持、タブレットは古くてアプリが入らないので、時間設定もバッテリー残量もわからない。）・ビープ音は大きい。（起動時、操作時、シャッター時）タイムラスプでシャッター時には無音で光る。ビデオ撮影中は赤くゆっくり点滅する。・60ｐはヌルヌル動く。静止画はシャープ。均等に光が当たっていればキレイ。静止画サイズは2688*1512の横長（初期値）超広角で太陽光が写り込みやすいので、順光を心がける。明るい空に露出が引っ張られて、地面が暗くなるので空は入れないように下向きを心がける。最短撮影距離は腕を伸ばしたくらい。・付属マニュアルの日本語は簡単、字も小さい。英文のpdfを見たほうが良い。パソコンと接続して本機の電源を入れれば、刺したままSDカードが読める。・モードによってファイル接頭にアルファベットが付く。P,T,C,M。・付属ストラップの金具がカチャカチャうるさいので、紐式に交換したほうが良い。・カタログのような、ネックストラップや胸ポケット入れ歩行動画は揺れる。手持ち歩行か、立ち止まり撮影が良さそう。・電池持続は実測、動画連続102分、静止画5秒おき2時間30分。<追記>・初期設定のままでは室内や曇天が暗いので、コントローラーとして安いタブレット（Huawei MediaPad T3）を買いました。時間設定はタブレットの情報を読んで自動。・アプリの設定項目への到達方法がわかりにくい。項目をスワイプすると次の項目が出てくる。（最初、EVの設定が無いように見えた）・画像のEXIFでは、F2固定・中央重点測光・感度とシャッタースピードで露出をコントロールしています。HDRオン、+0.5〜1EVが良さそうです。（明るくすると手ブレ写真が増える）・2.7Kは固定撮影が綺麗に撮れます。・スイッチ消し忘れや安心して撮るために、モバイルバッテリーの携帯がよい。・720ｐは1080ｐの周辺を切り取った狭い画角。・720p120は1/2スロー。

販売元が少なく、あってもボッタクリ価格でしたので入手を諦めていましたが値段が2万円を切りお手頃になりましたので購入しました。とにかく小型で軽い。首に下げて歩いても苦にならない。画質もそれなりに良くて満足してます。ブラックを購入しましたがホワイトのほうがオシャレだったかな。

商品自体は悪くないと思いますが、期待したほど使いやすくないです。アプリで確認しなければならないため、きちんと撮れているかがわかりづらい。もう使わないと思います。
