LR Baggs Stadium DI - Bass DI with Shaping Controls

All I can say is WOW! This DI/Preamp gave me the articulation and tone I've been looking for. And the quality of construction is bespoke. I will say though, for those looking for an over the top, in your face effects pedal this is not for you. Due to being constructed of discrete components (no SS/IC's) it provides a more of an audiophile, subtle tone quality. I suggest you look on YouTube for audio demos.

I bought it and it was defective so I returned it and will not be re-ordering it. What I didn't like was having to hit a really tiny button with my finger to obtain the "growl" capabilities of the pedal. I'd rather have a separate footswitch. Also I wasn't really able to obtain the sound I was looking for, similar to what I heard from Youtube demo videos. I think it's a good company and they have a great reputation, and the tech support while I was trying to figure out what was wrong with the pedal was great. Very responsive, and I was dealing with someone who actually read what I wrote and responded appropriately, rather than reading a script and ignoring what I wrote which is what I seem to experience more often than not with tech support.

Best of the best. Just get one.

super sensitive and great control

This is a great DI that does exactly what we needed, which was give a nice and clean feed to our mixer while providing a separate output to our bass amp. The effects offer really nice sound adjustments, but they are a bit too subtle. If the knobs allowed you to double what they can do, then it would be perfect. However, we instead have the effects all but maxed all the time. Very clean sound though, and we are happy with the purchase.
