This is easily the 'best bang for the buck' switch I've tried - and I've tried several.This is a manual switch hub that is bundled with an IR remote. For many people, this is the best possible choice for switching devices when you have limited HDMI inputs on your television or monitor. Why?The automatic hubs seem to all use a signal coming into the hub to determine which input is going to get access to the HDMI port. If you have a Chromecast - and I do - and a bluray player, the chromecast will never surrender it's grip on the tv's HDMI port...it's always ready to send a signal. You COULD manually turn the chromecast on and off, but that really defeats the purpose, doesn't it?This device advertises it has an autoswitching function but it seems that my chromecast is keeping that from happening - their product page indicated that this is an issue with Apple TV as well.Set up is a breeze. Plug in the power cord. Plug in the devices you want to run through your hub. Run and HDMI cable to the hub's output to the monitor's HDMI input. Use the remote to choose what device you want to have access to your monitor.Yeah, it's that easy.I've been using it for almost a week now and it works just fine. The IR remote does require you to put the hub someplace where it can 'see' the remote's signal, but it's so small and unobtrusive, it really isn't a big deal. For $20, I bought a well-constructed reliable solution for running multiple devices into my older television.Money well spent.

I bought this adapter to extend the limited amount of HDMI ports I have on my TV setup. I use it to connect my Roku 3 to my system without the need to physically unplug the cable from my cable box and transfer to the Roku. Now all I have to do is press the button on the remote. You can also get up and press a button on the box for one of the tree ports. The remote is very light weight and small. The box does have a red light that shines. It doesn't bother me at all. I actually like having it there as it ensures me that it is powered on. This was very easy to set up. Just plug and go. It is very relibale. I have had it for a few months and no problems at all.

Works well and auto-switches when a new source is turned on. So we mainly have the TV on, but if I turn on the Blu Ray or Playstation, it automatically switches the source.Sometimes, when you switch the source, the color is washed in green. Simple to fix by switching back to other source and then back to desired source.We also have another weird situation. Occasionally, when we stand up or move through the room, the screen blanks out. It will come back after about a 2 second delay, but it can be annoying, especially during live sports or movies.

I've been using this product for 3 years in a ton of different configurations, from computer monitors to high end smart tv's, and have never had a single issue with it. It does what it says perfectly, at a good price. My only major complaint is that the remote seems to work unreliably unless it is pointed perfectly at the sensor on the box. I've managed to solve this by putting the box at the front of my tv stand so I can point to it when I need to switch inputs, but if you cannot place it somewhere with line of sight, this could be very problematic.

I only have room in my smurf tubing for one HDMI cable, but have multiple devices to connect to my TV. This 3-way splitter allows three inputs (from devices) into one output (to the TV), with a remote control to select which device is active. I did not try it the other way, one device to three displays, but the documentation says it will work that way too. It works exactly as described, and switches devices seamlessly at the touch of a button on the remote.There is a button on the device itself if you don't want to use the remote (or lose it because it's so small). If you connect less than three devices, the switch ignores the empty ports, so you don't have to cycle through the empty ports to select a device. A well-thought-out device that perfectly solves the problem I bought it for!

use this to control HDMI input to a Samsung 55" TV and it works well. No need to manually switch between inputs as this detects the correct input as needed. I only use one of the input sources at a time but the remote switch selector also works well. I have had zero complaints and have owned this for over a year. Easy to use and pretty much foolproof. Displays well at the input resolutions that I use which is HD.

My old Sony receiver didn't have enough HDMI inputs and didn't pass through the audio. It required a separate digital audio cable for each component. I now have cable, blu ray player, roku streaming stick and an Amazon fire box all connected and playing perfect. The included remote control works great too.

The switch works fine. The remote doesn't and I can't find anyplace to get this prob lem resolved
