HOW TO SET THE COMBINATIONS: 1. It comes set as 000 so line the zeros up with the arrows on the side 2. On the bottom of each lock is a reset button. Press down the reset button and hold it down while you complete the rest of the below steps ( I used a pen to hold the reset button down because it is small.) 3. Turn the dials to your desired combination. 4. Now release the reset button and press the unlock button on the side to make sure the lock opens. I will say when setting your combination it is a little tricky holding down the reset button and setting your combination at the same time. But it is doable. These locks have a 5.5" cable lock that you can thread through zippers on backpacks, luggage and more. You can use them as regular locks as well for a locker and etc. The cable lock on these just makes them especially great for threading through zippers, though since the cable is a decent length.
