Lepro Security Lights Outdoor Motion Sensor 20W 2000 Lumen PIR Lights

I've only installed this today - so this is a review based on initial testing only... Replaced an old Halogen light, which was working, but the sensor had broken - so the light went off - but then immediately came back on. Was pleased that this unit came with the cable already installed into the light. I bought a waterproof junction box so I could simply wire up using the existing cabling from the old light in to this box and take advantage of the additional flex to place the light in a slightly different location. Played about with all the settings for a while to obtain the optimum setup for my front driveway. Not sure about the other comments on here claiming difficulty in getting this accurate - but I managed to get exactly what I needed after about 15 trips up the ladder! The time setting here gives me about 25 seconds light on time. Worth doing all the setup work - as once it's sorted, should be no need to alter again. The illumination is very good - covering my porch, the steps down to the front drive (particularly important for the Maccy's delivery driver heading back to his car) and the entire front drive and the two cars on it. So far so good - it's only day one - and I've mounted it within a porch, so the OTT IP67 waterproof junction box is not really needed as no water will ever get anywhere near it... but I had to have a connector of some type and thought I might as well have a quality device for that too... Fast delivery, easy to install, I have only had it a few weeks but so far it's working very well, no worries

Offers very good, even lighting for my (large) patio. The controls (time on, sensitivity, ambient light) work as per the instructions. Appears to be very well made - and at an amazingly low price. My one concern is that the IP54 rating of the sensor box may not be good enough to protect against heavy rain and wind. The rating means 'protected from water spray in any direction', not 'waterproof'. My previous two security lights (different makes) failed when the sensor boxes filled up with water. Time will tell!

easy to fit, especially as it is so light, does need heavy duty fixing. Like all these type of PIR sensors, takes a bit of tweaking to come on when the eveing is dark enough, and how long to stay on for. but its all there in the instructions. Have been using these over the last year with no failures

Good light, easy to install, in fact so good i have three in my garden now.

I was sceptical when I ordered this but I have to say after 18months of constant use it is still going strong. I bought the 20w version and it’s plenty bright enough for our needs . The adjustment controls work really well so you can have it activated by motion at different surrounding light levels . You can also adjust the sensitivity of the light which is perfect so if like us you have cats and and all manor of wildlife outside at night you won’t want nuisance activations . The LED unit is well made and was so easy to fit . Had no issues at all with this item .

Initially this was quite a good light. It worked reliably, was cheap to run, nice and bright and easy to install. Sadly after 17 months the electronics began failing. The light would not switch off after the set time period consistently and would remain on, sometimes for hours. The actual led light array still works so I stripped out the electronics and added a separate IR sensor switch assembly but this is only a practical solution for Electrical Engineers. For ordinary consumers, I cannot recommend this light, its just not built to last sadly.

Der Strahler läßt sich gut montieren. Die Einstellungen für Zeit und Dämmerungswert sind schnell eingestellt. Ich hatte mir den Strahler größer vorgestellt, aber von der Beleuchtungsstärke ist er völlig ausreichend. Auch der Sensor ist sehr empfindlich und Reichweiten größer 10m sind möglich. Durch den kleinen Reflektor wird aber eine sehr hohe Lichtstärke erzeugt, die stark zur Blendung neigt. Deshalb den Strahler so hoch wie möglich anbringen, mind. 2,5m. Bitte nicht in das Licht blicken!!! Nach 2 Jahren in Betrieb tritt am 2.12.23 ein Fehler auf. Die LED Lampe schaltet sich ca alle 15 Minuten für 3 Minuten ein. Und das den ganzen Abend unregelmäßig. Diese Linse des Bewegungsmelder habe ich abgeklebt, trotzdem geht immer wieder das Licht an. Da scheint ein Defekt vor zu liegen. Meine Vermutung: die kalten Temperaturen von minus 2 Grad bekommen der Elektronik schlecht. Was soll ban machen? Ich werde das " Spiel" noch ein paar Tage beobachten und schauen, ob der Fehler bei höheren Temperaturen auch noch Auftritt.
