Klipsch R-41PM Powered Bookshelf Speaker

I needed a 2.1 speaker system for my PC and began researching on Amazon and elsewhere. Yamaha, Polk Audio, Bose and Klipsch speakers was my scope of search. In the past, I have owned a 5.1 HT system from Yamaha using speakers NS-777 and NS-333. So, I exactly knew what I was looking for. I did not want Logitech and Creative unless I was forced to. I initially shortlisted Yamaha NX-50, Bose Companion 2 Series III and Klipsch 2.1 ProMedia THX. My choice became Klipsch 2.1 ProMedia THX but it is a shame these speakers are not rated for 240V. I had to look elsewhere. I then stumbled upon the Klipsch R-41PM. I noted these speakers support a wide range of inputs and were rated for 240V (free voltage) but were a bit pricey. Upon further research and more contemplating, I decided to get the Klipsch R-41PM. Initially, these were not available locally in Amazon UAE and I was preparing to order them from Amazon USA. Stocks somehow became available after a few days and I ordered them for next day delivery. Speakers arrived within two days. I was so excited to connect them and fire them up. All required wires and cables were included and all I did was make the connections. The speaker cables were neatly stripped at both ends, making the connections super easy and hassle free. One thing I learned from trial and error was that you must select the input source by remote. The speakers won't sense the input signal by themselves. There is no default input source. Sound is very high quality for the size of them. Bass is enough for music to fill the room although you can add a powered sub if you desire more bass. These won't produce earth shattering sound because that's not what they are meant for. Bluetooth connectivity is a huge plus. Seamlessly connects to my iPhone and Notebook via Bluetooth and desktop workstation via the AUX input. These are my first Klipsch speakers and I am hugely impressed. Buying from Amazon UAE is a challenge because of lack of helpful reviews. I hope this review helps someone.

Don't be fooled by its tiny size. These speakers can make any small room full of sound. I have paired this speaker with a Marantz 1509 and it feels like you are is a live scene all the time. There is a perfect balance between the mids, lows and highs.

Great product at this price level

Never would I think a set of bookshelf speakers with self amplification could deliver as solid as these have. Excellent value for money sound but if you are buying, do yourself a favour and add the Klipsch r-1000sw woofer.

This is an amazing bookshelf speaker. I used it with my computer and also media player. Adequate bass for small rooms but I would recommend having a additional sub woofer

Good sound quality. Would be better if you buy the sub woofer but sounds great even without it.

Good speakers and good price but delivered without optical cable so had to buy an extra.

Worth every penny, this is a best gear it is class, if you like to get more kick recommend you to get a sub Klipsch R-120SW.

Excellents haut-parleurs pour ceux qui ont des problèmes d'espace mais qui veulent un son excellent. A ce prix, ils doivent être achetés sans douter.

I bought these to complement my Rega Planar P1 record player. It has a built-in amp, and althpugh a separate unit provides a better experience, I fing the sound very satisfactory. The adaptive base is an amasing feature. I've also connected them to my TV and the bluetooth works flawlessly. On the downside they do make noise when not in action as some of the other reviewers pointed out, but it is really quiet and doesn't bother me ar all, and I am usually very sensitive to noise. You can alwas turn them off when you are not using them. No product is perfect and O find this to be a very minor flaw. The sound itself is full and the base packs quite a punch even without a subwoofer. Subwoofer is of course recommended for a better enjoyment. The remote is easy to use and the whole experience has a slightly minimalistic feel to it. I also enjoy the design, the classic copper touch does make them stand out. If you are like me and you want to save some money and not buy an amp right away, but still want good quality speakers, you can't go wrong with these. Great purchase, I highly recommend it.

Bisher hatte ich an meinem Denon AVR- 1801 die JBL Contol One mit einem Aktiv-Subwoofer und gehobeneren Center von JBL in einem 3.1 setup laufen. Als ich nun die Klipsch bekam und auf die Schnelle angeschlossen hatte,dachte ich erst...hm,so groß ist der Unterschied aber nicht. Das Aha-Erlebnis kam dann ein paar Stunden später und am nächsten Tag,als ich mir Zeit nahm. :-) Erst hörte ich mir ca. eine Stunde lang digital Radio Energy an und war verwundert,dass ich Songs die ich vorher nicht mochte nun auf einmal doch richtig gut fand.Ich hörte auf einmal Dinge aus den Lautsprechern,die mir bisher verborgen blieben.Ob nun Stimmen,das Zupfen eine Guitarre,Bassdrums oder Synthies...alles klingt erstaunlich sauber und detailreich. Also weiter getestet....diesmal analog von einer Tonbandmaschine (es gibt sowas tatsächlich noch). Jazz und Swing kam auch hierbei außerordentlich gut herüber. Also sind die Boxen nicht nur für moderne Popsongs geignet. Der Hammer kam dann beim Anschauen von 2 Filmen... Bei dem Film Bastill Day kam ich aus dem Staunen nicht mehr heraus. Ob nun Geknattere eines Motorrollers oder Explosionen...alles kam so klar und natürlich aus diesen kleinen Boxen und ich fühlte mich mittendrin im Geschehen.Die Boxen harmonieren auch mit dem Center besser als die C1 es je konnten. Dann noch den Film "A Star is born" angeschaut. Als nun Lady Gaga den Song " I alwayas remember us this way" anstimmte konnte ich sogar hören,wie sie beim Singen ein und aus atmete. Seitdem höre ich Musik aller Richtungen mit ganz anderen Ohren und der aktive Sub braucht die Kleinen dazu nur ganz dezent zu unterstützen (es ist aber sogar auch ohne Sub eine Freude). Und Filme schauen ist hiermit ebenfalls ein wahres Erlebnis.

Antes de decidirme por estos Klipsch tenía unos Edifier 1700bt que me han dado un gran servicio pero... Tenían tantos graves que llegaban a fatigar. Además en según que discos esos graves carecían de definición y sepultaban todo. Como por espacio no tenía otra opción yo tan feliz pero ahora que me he mudado ya decidí a dar el salto y.... En cuanto a diseño: lucen bastante clasicotes, altavoces bastante contenidos de tamaño y no muy pesados... No creo que entre ambos pesen más de 8 kilos (no es para decir que son portátiles pero se pueden mover sin problemas y no ocupan apenas espacio) La rejilla que protege el tweeter y el woofer es magnética por lo que se quita sin problemas... Me gustan más sin ellas por el diseño del woofer pero con gato en casa mejor protegerlos. No son visualmente lo más bonito del mundo pero tampoco son dos monstruos a esconder. Sonido: aquí viene la miga.... Parecen pequeñitos y parece que no vayan a dar mucha cera... Craso error. De potencia para llenar un salón de 20 o más metros y sin esfuerzo, yo a penas si he pasado de la mitad del volumen y soy amigo del ruido. Agudos potentes pero controlados, medios muy definidos... Las voces se oyen de fábula y no noto ni distorsiones ni siseo. De graves.... Si lees las reseñas parece que no hay nada en graves pero yo no lo veo así. Los graves son secos y bien marcados... Al menos en medios graves. Es en las bajas frecuencias donde se nota que el woofer de 5'25'' no llega.... Pero como digo los Edifier van sobrados y en bajas frecuencias lo que obtienen es más ruido que música. Eso si, prescindir del prebio que integran porque ahí te das cuenta que es bastante pobre. Yo pase al prebio del plato y ahí ya si que goce con lo que escuchaba. Quizás si me vuelvo a mudar y tengo más espacio me hago con un subwoofer pero ahora mismo estoy con el Black album de Metallica y me encanta como suena el bajo de Jason Newsted. Conectividad: son monitores activos de medio campo... Por lo que tienen amplificador integrado y cumple con creces... El prebio de fono no tanto... Si lo usas pierden separación en frecuencias y los graves no tienen apenas cuerpo. Tienen salida óptica y Bluetooth... Aun he de probar el Bluetooth así que ya actualizare esto. Incluye cable para emparejar los altavoces, un cable USB y otro óptico.... Sin embargo no incluye RCA pero no es muy grave porque por Amazon los compras por dos duros a pares. En conclusión, buenos monitores sobrados de potencia y una calidad de sonido más que buena. No son Hi-Fi si... Pero salvo que te gastes casi el doble es difícil que tengas algo mejor (o que te compres un buen amplificador con sus altavoces pasivos) Además el mando que incluyen gana por goleada al de los Edifier. Si queréis más potencia de graves tienes la opción del subwoofer pero como digo, ya es cuestión de donde los uses... Porque con su potencia y un subwoofer a mi se me caería la casa encima. Revisión enero 2021: Probado el Bluetooth con el Sony Nwa 35. Conexión sencilla y cero problemas. Sonido bastante bueno, de hecho mejor que el que sacaba con los Edifier. Se les critica que no es muy estable y que a poco que muevas la fuente se entrecorta. A parte de que eso tiene solución (no muevas el móvil... Fin) no he tenido ningún problema de conectividad.
