What is this D3 derived from?

Why is there vitamin D2 instead of vitamin D3? (info from their official website) Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) and D3 (cholecalciferol) have long been considered equivalent in human nutrition with the possible preference for Vitamin D3 being a new focus of research only in recent years. Currently US public health agencies (FDA, CDC) recommend 400IU per day of either Vitamin D2 or D3 for adequate nutrition. In simple terms Vitamin D2 is found in plants while D3 is from animal sources. The exception is that D3 is also found in some lichen. We sourced Vitamin D2 from mushrooms because it is the most widely available form of organic certified Vitamin D. Currently there are no or very limited sources of organic certified Vitamin D3.

Are these nose drops?

Directions: "tilt bottle and squeeze gently to dispense one drop. Place one drop daily onto mother's nipple or a pacifier, or mix with formula, breast milk, juice, or other foods. Do not exceed recommended daily serving."

I just received the product. Is the bottle supposed to be like half filled?

The Mommy's Bliss - Vitamin D Organic Drops - 0.11 FL OZ Bottle is 3.24mL filled in a 5mL size bottle. The liquid should be just a little more than half full. There should be enough liquid to achieve 90 servings.

Can you add a drop to a bottle rather then applying directly on your nipple?

You can drop it anywhere! With my bottle I think it wasn't dispensing properly like it does in video so I was not certain if it was correct dosage so I thrashed the bottle. Getting one with a dispenser.
