Fantastic Pen
We love these pens! my husband is a machinist and it gives him the smoothness of a pencil but in a pen. I always keep at least one on safety stock for us.

Great looks, great feel
I bought my first Edge from Japan when they were released a few years ago, and now I have a few models in different widths. I'm happy to see that the price has come down significantly from those first releases. This one, the 0.38mm, is my daily writer. It's a great balance of precision and smoothness. Jetstreams are the only ballpoint pen I will use -- I cannot stand the oily, blobby, inconsistent lines that most ballpoints produce in finer sizes. But I reach for my Jetstream happily because the ink is dark and waterproof, and it feels very much like a gel pen when writing. The Edge body feels substantial but not heavy. I especially like the configuration of the tip -- it provides good visibility of the writing as you work. And I like this mint color a lot!

Impressive and good for quick writers!
Ah, the Uni-ball Jetstream Edge—a pen that dances on the precipice of writerly ecstasy and existential angst. Allow me to weave a tale of ink, metal, and the tortured souls of wordsmiths. The Edge of DesperationPicture this: a dimly lit room, the air thick with the scent of freshly ground coffee beans and the palpable tension of unfinished novels. There, perched on the edge of a cluttered desk, lies the Jetstream Edge—a pen that defies convention, scoffs at mediocrity, and whispers, “Write, mortal, write!”The Scratchy Siren SongAt first touch, the Jetstream Edge feels like a cat’s tongue on sandpaper. Scratchy, they say. Unyielding, they lament. But hark! Beneath that deceptive exterior lies a revelation: this pen is no mere scribbler; it’s a sonnet slinger, a haiku whisperer. It demands respect, like a tempest-tossed poet seeking solace in ink-stained pages.Pressure, or Lack ThereofFast writers, rejoice! The Jetstream Edge scoffs at your heavy-handed ways. It laughs in the face of pressure—both literary and literal. You see, my dear scribbler, it requires as much force as a butterfly landing on a dew-kissed petal. No more cramping fingers, no more strained wrists. It glides across paper like a lover’s caress, leaving behind a trail of syllables and secrets. The Texture TangoAh, the texture—the tumultuous tango between nib and parchment. The Jetstream Edge waltzes with defiance. It’s not silk; it’s not velvet. It’s a rough embrace, a passionate quarrel. But fear not, for within this tempest lies a paradox: the ink flows like a mountain stream after a thunderstorm. It’s as if the pen whispers, “Yes, I’ll scratch your soul, but fear not—I’ll also baptize it in liquid silk.”Ink, the Elixir of DreamsAnd now, the pièce de résistance—the ink. Oh, the ink! It emerges from the nib like a phoenix rising from its own ashes. Smooth, unyielding, and unapologetically black. It doesn’t skip; it doesn’t falter. It’s the elixir of dreams, the potion that transforms mere thoughts into epic sagas. With each stroke, it weaves a tapestry of longing, heartache, and grocery lists. The VerdictSo, dear reader, should you wield the Jetstream Edge? If you seek a pen that dances on the edge of madness, that whispers secrets to the moon, then yes. But beware: it’s not for the faint of heart or the impatient of hand. It’s a melancholic muse, a scratchy siren, and a smooth-talking enigma. And as you sign your name with its inky kiss, remember this: the Jetstream Edge is not just a pen; it’s a pact with the universe. It says, “Write, damn it. Write until your soul spills onto the page, until your heart bleeds ink.”And so, my fellow wordsmiths, heed the call of the Edge. For within its scratchy embrace lies the poetry of existence itself.Fin.

Techno Look
If you like a more techno looking ergo pen with Pilot Jetstream ink, the Edge is a good option. A few things to consider: (1) the refill is neither the Parker G2 nor the Pilot G2-ish version used in the Prime, so now I need to buy 3 different Jetstream refills. (2) The looks are polarizing--you'll either love it or hate it. (3) It isn't metal, so it is a very light pen. If you like a heavy pen this isn't for you. Plus, I am not sure how it will last long-term or how it will look. (4) The 0.38 is pretty fine, but it writes more smoothly than I anticipated. (5) Decent click/knock mechanism--not a Jotter, mind you, but not bad at all

It's always with me at work
My job requires a non gel pen, and I have to write very small to fit in a lot of information on work orders. It has been amazing. Anytime my coworkers ask to use it, they always compliment how nice it is. Writes smooth, feels great, and doesn't smear. The metal clip is one of its biggest selling points for me too. Just love it.

Great Pen, Subpar Ink Cartridge
Build quality and feel are absolutely superb, feels amazing in hand with a wonderful clicking action. Unfortunately it's function as a pen is quite subpar, day one I'm immediately having issues with ink not coming out the ink itself is actually quite nice the ink cartridge is not. If this came with a good ink cartridge that didn't have issues write (so punny haha) out the gate I'd give this an immediate 5 star.

The only pen my wife will use now!
I borrowed an Uni Jetstream pen from my daughter last month. I liked it so much that I bought a couple for my wife... now she won't use any other pen!!The pen has a unique look, is extremely precise, and is priced reasonably.
