Love this tonneau
I previously had a L**d tonneau, soft roll up, held down by velcro strips down the sides. I spent about $300-$400 for it. After the first year, and some shrinkage, it never really fit right. This one fits perfect. I love the multi points of cable release as you unfold the tonneau. Also, I no longer am required to stand at the back of the bed of the truck to pull on cables on both sides of the roll up tonneau to release the latches. I can stand on one side or the other of the tonneau and it releases both sides. Fold up is easy, however, with each fold you are not lifting more weight than the previous fold. By the time you are lifting the last fold it is a little awkward. I love the matte finish and looks very sleek overall on the bed of the truck. Much better than the roll up that sat about an inch above the level of the bed of the truck. Set up was ok, I took my time over about 90 minutes, distractions in-between, but if I had focused I am guessing I could have set the entire thing up in 20-30 minutes. There were a couple spots on instructions where they were not clear, however, the pics helped. One thing I wish they had provided were plugs to place in the holes at the front of the tonneau. I know they provide the tubes to help drain, however, my truck has a spray in bed liner, sealing the spots where you can pop out the plastic bed plugs and run your drain tube out. They recommend drilling a hole to place the end of the tube, but I would prefer to plug the holes of the tonneau and just let the rain or snow drain off on its own. I wasn't sure about the rubber seal around the edges as there were a couple points in which there were waives or bumps and it did not look like it was going to seal properly. They recommend getting out a blow dryer to heat up the rubber seal and it would eventually lay flat. They also recommended you could let is sit in the heat of the sun. I decided to do the latter. Within a few hours the rubber seal laid flat and smooth against the truck bed. Overall, I am very pleased with the product. Is it worth over $1000 you pay, that is up to you to decide. I don't believe it is. When I compare to others, roll up or hard flip tonneau, considering the latches and other aspects, I think it is more like a $650-$800 product, but no where near $1000.

Quality bedcover
After a lot of searching the web and reading comments of Amazon purchasers decided to go with the BakFlip F1. I selected this over a one-piece hard-top cover because: (1) it sits flush with the top of the be rails (instead of hanging over the edges); (2) it is opens easily to have full access to bed (instead of having to remove the hardcover for 1 piece units); (3) is locking without requiring an extra key (just lock the tailgate).Rain-Resistance: The other reviewers here have varied in how water tight their backflip has been. Mine is good around front and sides, but there is a small gap near both corners of the tailgate area, so get a small amount (maybe ¼ cup) of water in when it rains. But this is not problem for me. Overall, I would have appreciated about ½ inch more rubber seal across all 4 edges.Security: the locking mechanism are 2 plastic latches on each folding section. Probably wouldn't be hard to defeat with a pry bar, so would have preferred they be metal. But unless someone knows you have something underneath the cover, not sure why they would bother.Installation: There were no paper installation instructions with the product. Installation was fairly easy by watching video on YouTube, although mine had a few extra parts than the one in the video. Overall, took me about 1 ½ hours, but now that I know how to do it, can take it all off and back on in 20min. 1 person can assemble the entire thing easily, except you need a second person to hold the bolts while you tighten the 2 corner fasteners that hold the top in place.Gas: have not seen other post on this, but this product does cut down on air drag. My highway millage has always consistently been 17.8mpg. With the BakFlip, I now get 19mpg. So at today's gas prices, the BakFlip should pay for itself in fuel savings after only 3,809 gallons (that's like 2.9 years if you go through a tank a week on an F150).Durability: The aluminum is solid. Am concerned about the durability of the rubber wear the hinges bend, but time will tell.Shipping: The packaging on this is impressive. They pour in a foam over both sides of the F1 inside the box. So chances of it arriving safe are very good.Product Update September, 2016.After 3.5 years of use, my BakFlip remains in very good shape. At first application, I was concerned about durability of the rubber on outside of frame at the hings, but they show no signs of breakage or wear. Over time, with sun and heat exposure, the rubber molds to the truck and I no longer get any rain leakage inside the truck any more. The textured surface as gotten a bit discolored, where the indented parts of the texture hold a white film, like hard water discoloration. Yet overall has retained black appearance and has not faded.I am very pleased with the durability of this product and would buy it again.

Nice cover.
The cover came in and the box was sitting up ok one end. The cover itself was fine. The two plastic corner pieces were broken. I emailed BAK and installed the cover. They quickly responded and asked for my address. Two days later, I had new end pieces but for a different model cover. Emailed them again, they expressed shipped the correct ends. Installed new corner pieces and cover is doing fine. One person can install it, 2 just speeds it up on holding and tightening. It lines up pretty easy and is not hard to put on. I added some foam weather stripping to the tailgate area, of my truck, to help move water away from going in the bed. So far, that has helped the cover be 99.5% water proof. Very little water gets into the bed now. I would trust my luggage in the back, even while driving, during a storm. The cover locks in place but is easy to unlock and fold up. I only loose about 6" of bed space with the cover folded up to the cab. This could be handy on day, with having the short bed on a crew cab F150. The only issue I have seen with the cover is the plastic end pieces. They do feel flimsy. I shouldn't be doing anything to mess them up but you never know. The BAK customer service was on top of my issue from shipping tho. I would recommend trying this cover is you are looking for one that can fold up to the cab, for maximum bed space without removing. The cover can be removed easily tho. Two screw down knobs, on the inside of the cover, is all you have to take off to remove from the truck.
